GETTING AROUND - FREEPORT
Public transportation options in Freeport including buses which are known as jitneys, this is the most common way to travel around. Buses operate from 7 am until sunset and bus fares are determined by distance and destination with a typical fare costing around $1.50 for adults and $0.50 for children. Buses can be found at the bust stop at Town Centre Plaza in downtown freeport and in Lucaya the main bus stop is on Seahorse Dr just west of Port Lucaya Marketplace. Many hotels offer free shuttles to guests traveling downtown and the beaches.
