By TrainThere are two railway stations in Stellenbosch; the main one is Stellebosch Railway Station to the east of the CBD situated along R310 Adam Tas Road, and Du Toit Railway Station which is situated north of the CBD in Plakenberg.

The R44 roughly runs from north-south from Klapmuts and Wellington towards Somerset West and runs through Stellenbosch. Stellenbosch is also served by two metropolitan routes that link it to surrounding towns in the City of Cape Town. Self-drives in Stellenbosch is a straightforward option and the best way to travel and sample the region’s great wine estates.
