Ancient Town

The enchanting neighborhood of Old Town or Ancient Town in Hoi An is a historic area set in the heart of the city a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. This unique area is filled with a maze of winding lanes and authentic shop-houses that house restaurants, bars, and shops. Old Town boasts a vibrant atmosphere in the evening time and comes alive with hundreds of colorful lanterns that hang in the streets. The famous Japanese covered bridge can be found here along with other notable buildings including temples, museums and assembly halls that line the river. Across the river from Old Town is the popular nightlife area of Riverside, where many bars and restaurants are located. You can easily access Old Town on foot and the streets are shut down to traffic several times a day, making it a pedestrian-only zone where you can wander around and visit the quaint shops, galleries, and eateries. Visitors to Old Town are required to purchase a ticket to enter which allows you to visit five different heritage attractions located within the area, an interesting place to visit would be the Hoi An Theatre, where you can enjoy traditional live performances with hand puppets and music. Another distinctive feature in the neighborhood is hundreds of shop-houses that are filled with tailors and shoemakers ready and able to make custom suits and shoes.

Beach Zone

Hoi An`s famous beach is Cua Dai, situated just 2 ½ miles away from the heart of the city with the remote Cham Island featured in the distance. This 5 mile stretch of alluring white sand beach is lined with palm and willow trees making it the perfect spot to for beachgoers to sit back, relax and enjoy the serene setting. Luxury resorts line this stunning beachfront neighborhood, providing visitors with spectacular ocean views, swimming pools overlooking the beach along with restaurants and shops. Cua Dai is a great beach destination to enjoy water sports and outdoor activities such as swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and surfing. Visitors can also take a ferry ride or a boat trip out to the idyllic Cham Island for a more secluded beach getaway. Cua Dai is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of five found in the entire country on Vietnam`s remarkable coastline. The water is a spectacular sparkling blue and very inviting for a swim.
