Some History: Tobacco Bay played an important role in the American war for independence through the infamous Gunpowder Plot of 1775. On the night of August 15th, 1775 a group of Bermudians, sympathetic to the American cause led by Colonel Henry Tucker, stole 100 barrels of gunpowder from the British Powder Magazine. The barrels were rolled down a hill to Tobacco Bay, Bermudian whaling vessels transported the cargo onto two American schooners waiting nearby, the Lady Catherine and the Packet.2 hours -Admission Ticket FreeADDITIONAL INFOService animals allowedPublic transportation options are available nearbyNot recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular healthTravelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitnessCompact strollers allowedTravel Time was included on the Total durationNot wheelchair accessibleThis tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelersCANCELLATION POLICYFor a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. This experience requires good weather.
