Guatape
Guatape, one of the most visited towns in Antioquia and one of the most colorful villages in all of Colombia, is just a two-hour drive from Medellin, making it a great base to escape the bustle of the city. The village of Guatape is known for the cobbled streets adorned with houses painted in multiple colors and pleasant squares with many restaurants and shops. In addition, you will find a special natural phenomenon just outside the village; the huge rock El Penon.
