Upon arrival at the WRCT adventure grounds, our tour guides will secure you with a high-quality harness, leather gloves, and a helmet. You will then be given an orientation course, which includes but is not limited to basic zip-line information, safety training, breaking techniques, and communication signals. Comprise an off-road trail that is not accessible to a regular 4WD vehicle due to the wire fences, thorn Branches, numerous rocks, livestock crossing, and a river snake along the circuit that is 4 times the average of depth of 1.5 feet and a maximum of 3 feet. The only way to get through this trail is on an ATV. Once you get through the trail you will arrive at your destination to start your canopy zip-line tour.

This is an adventure tour that include a percentage of risk that might increase according to your performance. There is a possibility that the ATV will get stuck in the mud but you can easily get it out with the help of your guides.

Prepare for early morning pickup at your Guanacaste hotel in order to make the most of the day. Watch the landscape change dramatically during the roughly 4-hour drive into Puntarenas province. Depart the sunny, tropical rainforest of the coast and travel up steep, winding roads to reach the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, a protected area that sits perched at 4,600 feet (1,400 meters) above sea level. Stop along the way to stretch your legs and enjoy an included breakfast.

After arriving at the reserve, begin with a visit to one of the worlds largest live butterfly exhibits to learn about the amazing lifecycle of the butterfly and observe many native species fluttering around a natural habitat. Next, explore the cloud forests amphibious and scaled residents at an exhibit featuring lizards, geckos, frogs, and more than 30 different types of slithering snakes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Gulf of Papagayo (Pass by)

All our tours include a boat captain and nature guide. We start the tour fishing around the Gulf; the species that we can catch are: mahi-mahi, black tuna, mackarel, marlin, rooster fish among others. While we are fishing we will try to spot whales and dolphins (whale season is from July to November). After fishing we will go to a nice beach with crystalline waters, where we have a light lunch and do some snorkeling, also we can use the SUP boards, enjoy a nice ride on the tube or use the water skies.

Driving more or less 1 hr and 35 minutes through the Country Site, you will arrive to enjoy a two-hour cruise along the river that has the nearest access to Palo Verde National Park. This river is one of most important of Costa Rica, because years ago, Tempisque River was used as a line of Transportation for people and goods like cattle and sugar cane. FYI - We offer free pick up locally in Playa Grande and Matapalo. Additional fee for pickup you will see on the exclusion section From Tamarindo (Playa Langosta) to Potrero (including Playa Flamingo, Brasilito, Playa Conchal and Huacas) round trip. We also pick up at Casa Chameleon, JW Marriott , all hotels and homes in Playa del Coco and Papagayo (including Riu, Mangroove, Hard Rock, Secrets, Four Seasons, Andaz and all others) for an extra charge. Transportation is paid directly at the beach. Pick up times vary with lesson times and minimum 2 people per lesson.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our 2 hour lessons (min 2 guests) are unlike the other schools which are only 90 minutes.& begin with a 10 minute land lesson where you will learn, practice & get a safety talk . We then take you out for 45 minutes to an hour where you will always be with your instructor & learn to surf. Next is a 10 minute break where we provide you with fresh pineapple & ice water before going back out for the last hour of the lesson. You will be catching your own waves in no time as our instructors are among the best in Costa Rica & make sure you have fun.
We take children as young as 4-our instructors are amazing with children and we have had beginners as young as 75 out. At our secluded beach, we are the only ones there and you avoid the crowded, rocky areas of Tamarindo (we are right across from Tamarindo). Our beach is a sand walk out with no rock - perfect for beginners with great waves as well!
Our class sizes are no more than 4 students per instructor and we offer semi-private and private as well (ask for details).
We also take 150-250 professional pictures of your lesson and video as well (extra). The only surf company in Costa Rica to offer that. Come see why we are #1 on TripAdvisor.
