Overview The fun adventure begins just 10 minutes from Amber Cove and 30 minutes from Taino Bay in a small town called Maimon. At the base of operations you will receive your equipment and some safety instructions before going out into the field. The tour begins by driving through the small local town of Maimon. WHAT TO EXPECT

Mount a horse and spend your morning riding with view of the Mount Isabel de Torres. Pass through local villages and lush plantations as you follow your guide through the countryside. Puerto Plata is home to truly gorgeous terrain with many majestic sugarcane fields. Arrive at the horse ranch, where the trained staff perfectly matches your abilities with an amiable horse companion. After the meet and greet at the Country House Bar, you will get equipped for the zip lines. Now it's time to feel the adrenaline on the 8 ACCT certified zip lines, with a total length of more than 7,900 feet of double, galvanized aircraft steel cable. The longest ride is 2,460 feet. No experience is required. Contrary to many other zip line parks you are not involved in any active breaking, like using gloves for stopping.
While driving your own All Terrain Four Wheeler, you will explore the Dominican Republic in the most unique way, by going off-road along riverbeds, fertile farms, the lush countryside and local villages.

The fun adventure starts just 10 minutes from Amber Cove and 20 minutes from Taino Bay in a small village called Maimon.
At the home base you will get your gear and a few safety instructions before you head off into the countryside.
The tour starts with driving through the small local village Maimon. You will explore the Dominican nature and culture with a stop at an authentic little cigar rolling shack where you learn about cigars, sample of organic hot chocolate and coffee. There is a stop at a local beach where you can go for a swim if you would like to.

Amber Cove: the pick up will be outside of the port, after the principal gate, left side of the avenue. About 10 to 12 minutes walk.

A scenic hillside drive brings you to the small village of Tubagua at the beautiful Calle Turistica from Puerto Plata to Santiago with marvelous ocean and mountain views, just over half an hour drive from Puerto Plata or Sosua / Cabarete

1: Taino Valley Tropical Park

Our first stop is at the Taino Valley Tropical Park you will find a lush tropical forest, our guide shows the flowers, trees, palms, plants, bamboo, fruits, vegetables and condiments that grow in the Dominican mountains. There are flowers that are very special in their way of growing and typical for the Caribbean. In several places there are small statues from the times of the Tainos. Each statue features a God of the Tainos. Detailed explanation of each statue and why the Tainos worshiped their gods is given. The water that runs through the forest passes through several natural ponds full of fish. On the route there is a viewpoint with benches that overlook a green valley with mountains in the background.
We will demonstrate how Coffee is made the classic Dominican way and taste, show you how Cigars are rolled. You also enjoy a fresh fruit tasting, grown in the hills around us.
