Canada’s Northern Territories make up 48 percent of Canada’s total land mass, however, this region is home to only 0.5 percent of the country’s population. It feels largely undiscovered, and yet, the wonders here are undeniable. It’s home to the Northern Lights that illuminate the skies, stunning craggy mountain ranges, Arctic tundra, and some of the most pristine wildernesses on Earth. This rugged land is also home to the deepest lakes, highest waterfalls, and meaningful cultural traditions where unbridled adventure awaits.

  • Northern Lights of Canada

    The astonishing sights of the northern lights should be on everyone`s bucket list with fascinating displays of vibrant colorful lights that can be seen from locations in North America. The Aurora Oval, where the lights are concentrated and circle the north magnetic pole is elusive and all depend on location. Alaska, Canada, and some North American states happen to be ideally positioned to see the spectacular show. Depending on the weather, darkness, cloud cover, and solar wind activity these incredible lights can be best seen in the winter and from locations such as Yellowknife and Whitehorse.

    Farthest east, the Atlantic Canada region is made up of four provinces, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. But even among Canadians, there is sometimes confusion about the definition of “Atlantic Canada” versus “the Maritimes.” Made up of rocky coasts, this region has plenty to offer for adventure seekers. Pine forests and rocky cliffs dominate New Bunswick’s unspoiled landscape, while puffins and icebergs are visible in the rugged stretches of Newfoundland and Labrador.

    The Prairies, known for being flat, are flat enough for the horizon to be very long and the sky very big.
