    Cuzco was the epicenter of Inca civilization until the arrival of the Spaniards in 1533. Fortunately, many stunning Incan structures have survived and helped to make Cuzco the archaeological capital of the Americas, and Peru's most popular destination. Gateway to the Sacred Valley, and the lost city of Machu Picchu, Cuzco has a seemingly endless array of historic attractions, both Incan and colonial.
