Our sailboat, named Tara, is located at the end of the first dock at the bottom of the ramp. Keep an eye out for the Tribeca Sailing sign located on the lower walkway.

At the corner of Liberty Street and South End Ave descend the ramp to the marina. The ramp is behind a security barrier with the word STOP on the front. You will see three large flagpoles at the bottom of the ramp.

We will get as close as possible to the Statue of Liberty for one of the best photo opportunities and view on the Harbor. Your captain has all the knowledge about her history from construction to the beautiful statue you see today.

Viewed from the water and your captain has wonderful commentary. We will explain the history of the architecture and the path immigrants took to get to America. The island is full of rich historical information that we will pass along. For example, no that is not graffiti on the building, we will explain as we glide by.

Governors Island (Pass by)

As we sail past the island we will explain the history and fun things to do! What is that round building? How did it get its name? What is that gray octagon building? Do people live there? So many questions and we have the answer. Governors island is a great place to visit for so many reasons.

1: The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Our tour starts in Ancient Egypt, beholding perfectly preserved ancient Egyptian tomb models. See tiny dioramas that show what life was like in the times of Tutankhamen and learn about the fascinating burial rituals of the era. Youll understand a little more of this at our next stop, Egyptian mummies and William, the Mets mascot. Next, onto a prize jewel of the Met Museum, the Temple of Dendur, an Ancient Egyptian Temple right smack in the middle of Central Park. More rumors abound at two of the next pieces we see the armor of Britains infamous King Henry VIII, and the Antioch Chalice, purported by some as, The Holy Grail. Well see more ancient works of Greek statuary and Roman frescoes before moving to the exotic, with a stop in Papua New Guinea. Well then head to the second floor to soak in some of Claude Monets famous Water Lillies, be energized by the expressive works of Vincent Van Gogh, and be inspired by a bronze of Rodins Thinker.

The Met is fully wheelchair accessible. However, if you cannot climb the stairs of the central entrance to reach the meeting point, there is a ground level entrance one block south, near the intersection of 81st street and 5th avenue. Tell the desk you need to use the elevator to meet a group in the main lobby (at the pharaoh statue), which will then secure your entrance ticket. They will provide you with a temporary pass and help direct you upstairs.

1: The Oculus

The experience starts at the Starbucks across the street from the Oculus, the most expensive subway hub in the world. The tour also introduces FDNY Captain John Jonas and his team "the Dragon Fighters."

WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet your guide and small group outside the Oculus World Trade Center at the appointed time, and then set off on foot to discover the moving sights of Ground Zero.

See St Paul's Chapel, which survived the falling debris from the World Trade Center, despite being only one block away. Walk to the FDNY Memorial Wall and FDNY Ten House, and hear heroic stories about the emergency responders.

Next, enter the National September 11 Memorial, which stands in remembrance of the almost 3,000 people who were killed on 9/11. There are twin reflecting pools at the very spots where the Twin Towers once stood, so you can pay tribute to the fallen.

If you selected the optional upgrade when booking, continue to the National 9/11 Museum, which tells the story through multimedia displays, archives, narratives and a collection of artifacts. Explore alone or with a guide, if you upgraded for the VIP option.

Explore this transportation hub and shopping center to admire its striking architecture and learn how it symbolizes renewal at Ground Zero after 9/11.
