The Santa Fe Trail was the most important route to the West from the Missouri River to Santa Fe, New Mexico, before the era of the railroads. With this Self-Drive Package explore its main states and emblematic cities. Start in Missouri, visiting Kansas City (known for its barbecue, jazz heritage and fountains), then, continue to Kansas State, with a stay in Dodge City (the gateway to the -West history-, became a rowdy town famous for its saloons, outlaws, and Boot Hill Cemetery).
