City Center

The bustling city center of Cambodia`s capital city of Phnom Penh is the neighborhood surrounding Wat Phnom and the northern region of the city. The Phnom Penh City Center or PPCC has rapidly transformed over the years to an area covering over 274 sprawling acres of open space, which includes the city`s first and only Central Business District. This neighborhoods strategic location in the heart of Phnom Penh makes it easily accessible on foot or via public transportation with multiple entry points. The architecture in this area is a mixture of vintage colonial buildings along with futuristic and metropolitan buildings featuring towering buildings. Lengthy pedestrian sidewalks are framed by verdant green lawns and parks that are perfect for an afternoon stroll, the sprawling central park here offers outdoor activities and recreational activities. Visitors will have a wide variety of accommodations to choose from including three star and luxury hotels including the famous Raffles Hotel Le Royal. Sisowath Quay or Riverside

The popular Sisowath Quay or Riverside region sits in the innermost part of the city sits close to the city center and provides visitors and locals with a 2 mile long stretch of riverfront boulevard that is brimming with hotels, restaurants, bars, and other attractions. The strip begins at the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda and ends near the Wat Phnom along the intersection of the Tonle Sap and Mekong Rivers. The bustling area offers some of the best dining and nightlife options in the city can be found here with a laid-back atmosphere. The walkable riverfront area is lined with restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and parks where people like to gather in the early mornings and evening time.
