Brooklin

Brooklin Novo, which is Portuguese for the `New Brooklyn`, is an upscale neighborhood in Sao Paulo. A residential and commercial area in the city filled with beautiful townhouses and the location of the awe-inspiring Octavio Frias de Oliveira Bridge. It is an important financial center in the city and is home to headquarters for multinational companies such as Nokia, Nestle, and HBO Brazil. There are luxurious hotels in the neighborhood and the Mandarin Building, which is the tallest residential building in the city.

City Center

The city center of Sao Paulo is the birthplace of the city, founded in 1554. Downtown is the historic core where 17th-century churches, historical landmarks, theatres, popular parks, and squares stand in the shadows of skyscrapers. Also known as Centro, the area is filled with some of the best architecture in the city boasting baroque and neoclassical buildings and the highest concentration of newly modernized buildings. Many of the attractions found in downtown are within walking distance of one another, public parks and squares offer large open green spaces and areas to do some people watching. Rua 25 de Marco is a great place for shopping filled with market stalls and shops on pedestrianized streets. There are some good areas for food and nightlife also.

Jardins

The chic neighborhood of Jardins is an upper-class region of Sao Paulo, one of the wealthiest districts in the city. The name `Jardins` meaning gardens in Portuguese comes from the sprawling parks located in the area, including Jardim America and Jardim Europa. Located within walking distance of the famous Paulista Avenue and home to many attractions including the Brazilian Museum of Sculpture. This trendy district has plenty of fancy restaurants and ritzy bars to choose from as well as high-end shopping districts and high-class hotels. The Rua Oscar Freire is the main shopping street which runs through the heart of the neighborhood, it connects to the Rua Augusta which is brimming with hotels and the best restaurants in the city. Jardins boasts a stylish and diverse nightlife with over 200 bars and clubs offering a bustling nightlife scene.

Vila Olimpia

Vila Olimpia is an upscale neighborhood in the city of Sao Paulo in the Itaim Bibi district. It is one of the main financial districts in the city and home to the headquarters of several multinational companies including Yahoo and Google. The neighborhood offers a fantastic nightlife scene where several bars and clubs can be found. This attraction area boasts great shopping with two shopping malls and the megastore market Daslu. The neighborhood features the E-Tower which is the 5th highest skyscraper in the city and the 12th highest in the country.
