The vibrant market town of Chichicastenango or `Chichi` is nestled in the Guatemalan highlands surrounded by valleys and mountains. A delightful, long-established and genuine Mayan town featuring ancient cobblestoned streets and red-tiled roofs boasting one of the most fascinating outdoor markets in the country. The Chichicastenango Market is located in Guatemala`s jungle dense Western Highlands, in the department of El Quiche. This little and stylish town, home to Maya K'iche people, is about 90 miles (and 3 hours) away from Guatemala City, the country`s capital.
Colourful Guatemala!.
