You'll get to visit the Ships Graveyard where the remains of at least 40 abandoned vessels lie embedded in silt and partially hidden by mangroves in the backwaters of the Port River, in Adelaide's north west. After morning pickup from select hotels in central Adelaide, board your air-conditioned coach for your city tour.

Roll through the cultural precinct of Adelaide, including the North Terrace, Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the National Wine Centre, and the Botanic Park home to the Adelaide Zoo and Bicentennial Conservatory. After pickup in Adelaide, relax during the scenic 30-minute drive to Hahndorf.

As you exit the city, pass through the cultural precinct of the North Terrace and head up Mount Lofty. Stop at the summit, Adelaides highest peak, and get great photo ops of the city, coast, and St. Vincent Gulf. Continue down the road, which winds through the villages of Crafers, Stirling, Aldgate and Bridgewater. You'll see the water wheel of the historic Bridgewater Mill along the way. 2: Bridgewater Mill

Bridgewater Mill and Waterwheel. Set in the charming town of Bridgewater in the rambling scenery of the Adelaide Hills, this old mill dates back to 1860 when it was built by John Dunn, a mill engineer from Devonshire. He built a number of flour mills throughout Australia, but the Bridgewater Mill is by far his most famous.
Situated on Mount Barker Road, the mill boasts an impressive working waterwheel which was built back in the mid 1800s. Dunn chose this particular spot for the mill because it was a prime hotspot for catching traffic that passed through the area.
In 1986, the mill was bought by a consortium that renovated it and integrated an award-winning winery into the building: Petaluma wines. Today, it is both a popular restaurant and a wine cellar, drawing in crowds looking for cultural pursuits in the Adelaide area.

In March 1994, Adelaide experienced a devastating act of domestic terrorism when the National Crime Authority (NCA) building was bombed. A powerful explosion destroyed the building and killed Detective Sergeant Geoffrey Bowen, an NCA officer. Several other people were injured in the blast.

The investigation into the bombing revealed that it was a targeted attack against law enforcement. The case remained unsolved for many years, but in 2012, a man named Domenic Perre was arrested and charged in connection with the bombing. He was convicted in 2013, marking a significant development in the case.
