Enjoy the amazing tropical mangroves along this winding river passage. Here we will pass through a number of Go-Slow Zones and see some of Gold Coasts most prestigious Marinas before picking up our speed to race through mangroves on our way to the next destination.

In the morning, make your own way to Brisbanes Southbank district to board your boat.

Set sail, and view the citys skyscrapers, leafy suburbs, and waterside mansions as you pass by. Your captain provides in-depth commentary about the sights along the way.

Then, arrive at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and enjoy plenty of time to explore on your own. More than 130 koalas reside at Lone Pine, which is the worlds largest koala sanctuary. Plus, you have the chance to visit the Platypus House and view other wildlife.

You can also discover birds of prey, including owls, kites, and sea eagles, and colorful wild lorikeets. Keep an eye out for eastern water dragonsa lizard that grows up to three feet (.9 meters) long. Admire the working dogs at the sheepdog show as they round up sheep while responding to their masters whistles, calls, and hand signals.

Meals are available for purchase on the river cruise and at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary's cafe (own expense).

Lone Pine opened in 1927 as a safe refuge for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas, at a time when the species was being culled for the fur trade.

Today, Lone Pine remains as a destination not only see native Australian animals, but to also connect and learn, and to leave feeling inspired to make small, positive changes in your daily lives to help protect native wildlife and habitats.

Along with koalas and kangaroos, Lone Pine hosts a sheepdog show where you see the dogs round up a herd of sheep, responding to their masters whistles, calls and signals. Our friendly guide will show you stunning South Bank Parklands and it's attractions including Southbank Beach, Queensland Performing Arts and the Brisbane Sign.

Ride through the Botantical Gardens Rain Forest and see all of the beautiful trees and plants as our guide will show you through out. Also our night tours will usually see Australian possums and during summer days see our friendly Water Dragon Lizards.
