Let our experienced instructors help you conquer your fears and guide you safely over the edge while you experience the extreme rush of abseiling. With trust overcoming natural instinct, you will be abseiling down the 20 metre high cliffs in no time

Riverlife abseiling sessions are guided by qualified and experienced instructors. No experience is necessary as each session includes full instruction, a safety briefing and equipment. Participants must be at least 8 years of age and wear and use the safety equipment provided by Riverlife. Safety equipment includes a helmet, harness, rope and gloves.

Tamborine Mountain Distillery was founded in 1993 and is the third oldest Distillery in Queensland. This family distillery began when Michael and Alla Svetlana Ward moved from Tasmania to the original property in Beacon Road, on Tamborine Mountain.

Michael Ward, a passionate gardener, planted every tree on the property, which was once a run-down citrus and avocado orchard. Meet your guide at the designated spot in either downtown Brisbane or Fortitude Valley, then step aboard the comfortable minicoach to go to your first brewery.

Your first and second stops take in Green Beacon Brewery and Sea Legs Brewing Co. Sample a variety of their core beers, such as a session ale, porter or IPA, and perhaps try a few seasonal brews as availability allows.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In the morning, make your own way to Brisbanes Southbank district to board your boat.

Set sail, and view the citys skyscrapers, leafy suburbs, and waterside mansions as you pass by. Your captain provides in-depth commentary about the sights along the way.

Then, arrive at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and enjoy plenty of time to explore on your own. More than 130 koalas reside at Lone Pine, which is the worlds largest koala sanctuary. Plus, you have the chance to visit the Platypus House and view other wildlife.

You can also discover birds of prey, including owls, kites, and sea eagles, and colorful wild lorikeets. Keep an eye out for eastern water dragonsa lizard that grows up to three feet (.9 meters) long. Admire the working dogs at the sheepdog show as they round up sheep while responding to their masters whistles, calls, and hand signals.

Meals are available for purchase on the river cruise and at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary's cafe (own expense).

After discovering Lone Pine, return to your boat for the cruise back to Southbank where your tour ends in the afternoon.

At 10:15am youll arrive at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where youll be free to explore for 3 hours.
Lone Pine opened in 1927 as a safe refuge for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas, at a time when the species was being culled for the fur trade.

Today, Lone Pine remains as a destination not only see native Australian animals, but to also connect and learn, and to leave feeling inspired to make small, positive changes in your daily lives to help protect native wildlife and habitats.

Along with koalas and kangaroos, Lone Pine hosts a sheepdog show where you see the dogs round up a herd of sheep, responding to their masters whistles, calls and signals. You can see owls, kites and sea eagles soar above you at the Birds of Prey show, or marvel at the colorful feathers of the wild lorikeets that fly in twice daily for feedings. Other bird species and a population of Eastern Water Dragons, a lizard that grows up to 3 feet (90cm) long also like to visit Lone Pines natural parkland.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your Story Bridge climb begins at base headquarters at Howard Smith Wharves, 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. A guide walks the group through the route and safety procedures, then attaches you to the static line.

From there, set off for the summit up the eastern side of the bridge, climbing a steep incline to a top platformone of two high points, each around 262 feet (80 meters) above sea level.

The reward is an uninterrupted, 360-degree view: the city skyline, the Brisbane River, Moreton Bay, the Glass House Mountains, and Mt. Coot-tha and Lamington National Park in the distance. Twilight departures catch the skyline as the light changes.

From the central platform, traverse the width of the bridge above six lanes of traffic before returning to headquarters, where you receive one high-resolution group photo of your climb.

Floating Images Hot Air Balloon Flights (Pass by)

Floating Images Hot Air Balloon Flights provides a boutique hot air ballooning experience showcasing spectacular city & country views of the Greater Brisbane region encompassing Ipswich, Scenic Rim & Somerset countryside whilst aloft in a balloon wicker basket for an approx 1 hour flight time. How program takes 3 - 4 hours however.
Once up in the air youll see hot air ballooning is all about the views. With Floating Images Hot Air Balloon Flights youll have the opportunity to soak in where city life and country charm collide just a 30-minute drive west of Brisbane.
The geography and climate make this area ideal for hot air balloon flights. Ballooning is the best way to view South-East Queenslands diverse natural landscape as you float over the rich agricultural land, valleys and mountain ranges of the Ipswich, Scenic Rim and Somerset regions. 1: Ipswich Visitor Information Centre

Floating Images meet all our passengers at the Ipswich VIC to commence the ballooning program including scenic views from above of the Greater Brisbane region including Ipswich, Scenic Rim & Somerset country regions.

2: Ipswich

Once we depart the Ipswich VIC we board our vehicle to the mornings launch site, a short drive within the region depending on the wind speed & direction for the morning.

Once at the launch site, passengers can assist in the inflation process of the balloon if they wish, or just stand back watch, take photos & enjoy.

Once inflated, all passengers embark the balloon basket and enjoy the flight in the well experienced pilots hands.

Ipswich (Pass by)

As our ballooning program commences in Ipswich, passengers have scenic views from above as they float gently by.

After the approx 1 hour flight time around the Greater Brisbane, Ipswich, Scenic Rim & Somerset regions we then land the balloon, pack it all up, hope back in our vehicle and head back to Ipswich, the Ipswich VIC and then to the restaurant for the after flight breakfast.

If you are joining the Floating Images after flight breakfast as part of your ballooning program inclusion, then passengers will enjoy the ambience, views and culinary skills at Fourth Child Restaurant for breakfast.

Children (6 - 12 years) must be accompanied by an adult. No infants allowed.

Disabled passengers are able to balloon, although limitations do apply due to the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) regulations. CASA requires that all passengers are able to embark and disembark a balloon basket unassisted for safety reasons. No wheelchair facilities are available. Disabled persons participating in the balloon flight do so at their own risk and the company accepts no liability for any damage or injury caused. As the flight is for approximately 1 hour, passengers must be able to stand unaided for the duration of the flight. (ie: no additional aids such as seats, walkers, sticks or crutches are permitted in the basket). If in doubt, an able bodied person (friend or relative) must accompany the "slightly infirm" passenger.

Weight notification: For flight manifest purposes all passengers names and estimated weights (in kilograms). Please advise the booking office if any client is over 85 kilograms, or have any medical issues. As weight is an important factor in a hot air balloon; passengers weighing 110 Kg or over attracts a 50% surcharge. Due to safety factors passengers over 130kg cannot participate in hot air ballooning.

During any Government Health &/ or Covid restrictions, all passengers will be required to follow the FIHABF Health/ Covid 19 Policy & Safety Plan requirements, and comply with all Federal Government and Queensland Health requirements imposed at the time of your flight. Please familiarize yourself with any Government & Health authority mandates including the wearing of face masks and how it applies to you, prior to your flight. By booking tickets to attend this ballooning experience you accept these participation entry requirements.
