We are keen bird watchers and have a good eye for crocodiles and tree snakes, with crocodiles being spotted on 98% of trips, particularly in cooler months. WHAT TO EXPECT

After morning pickup from your Port Douglas accommodation, travel by air-conditioned minivan through the World Heritage-listed rainforest to reach the village of Kuranda.

Upon arrival, your local guide provides a guided tour of the rainforest village that highlights its artisans and craft markets. Explore on your own as well and have the option to visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, Bird World, and Koala Gardens (discount vouchers available), or one of the village cafes.

After checking in at the Sailaway Boathouse, you are welcomed aboard the deluxe catamaran, one of the only boat operators permitted to visit the coral cays of the Low Isles.

Start your afternoon cruise with tea, coffee and a light lunch before enjoying the tropical breeze and scenery on the journey.

On arrival at the Low Isles, you have several hours to do as much or as little as you like. From the beach, you can easily hop into the water and snorkel around the sheltered lagoons coral gardens.

Learn more about the iridescent fish and colorful corals of the Great Barrier Reef during a guided snorkeling tour led by a marine biologist. You also get an excellent underwater viewing experience with expert commentary on the glass-bottom boat tour.

If you are a poor swimmer, you may not be suitable to snorkel in the open water. Not all passengers will be suitable to snorkel, and our experienced crew have the discretion to advise against snorkelling if deemed not suitable for the activity. This is for the safety of the passenger. Please be advised snorkelling can be a strenuous physical activity, even in calm water and that older people are at an increased risk of death and/or injury due to a higher incidence of medical conditions made worse by physical exertion, such as heart disease and stroke. All passengers intending to snorkel will be asked to complete our Medical Declaration for Snorkelling form. Our experienced crew will discuss any issues relating to medical conditions and swimming ability. Sailaway reserves the right to decline any passenger from participating in snorkelling if we are concerned about your health condition and/or swimming ability. This is for your own safety, please listen to the advice of our experienced snorkel guides to ensure the safety of our guests.

Our Sailaway vessels are luxury sailing catamarans and we offer a pure sailing experience. This means the vessels travel in open seas and will move around whilst under sail. The decks of the vessels are multi levels and can be slippery when wet. Passengers must have good mobility to safely move around the vessels, step onto the glass bottom boats (if applicable) and get in and out of the water via the ladders on the back of the vessels. Unfortunately, we do not offer wheelchair access due to the layout of the decks and saloon areas. Our tours are adventure experiences for active travellers. WHAT TO EXPECT

When your boat departs, your guide provides a safety briefing and introduction to the day's activities, and scuba divers are briefed about the dive sites.

Custom built snorkel-only vessels allow access to renowned sites throughout the Barrier Reef. If you want to go diving, introductory divers are placed in small groups with a PADI Dive Instructor. Certified divers dive in small groups accompanied by PADI Dive Masters. Scuba diving is for an additional charge.

Arrive at your first dive site at either Opal or Agincourt Reef. Have time to snorkel and enjoy morning tea before moving on to the second site before noon. Guided snorkel tours are optional at the second site. Have lunch on board the boat, then listen to an interpretive talk about the Great Barrier Reef.

Move to the third site of the day and take the optional guided snorkel tour, then nibble your afternoon tea afterwards. Finally, depart for the mainland.

Experience the outer Great Barrier Reef by immersing yourself amongst the coral and marine life with snorkelling or introductory / certified scuba diving.

We provide pick-up directly from your Port Douglas accommodation. Alternatively, you can meet us at Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas or Club Mossman.

Please select your preferred pick-up location when booking, or contact us at least 24 hours before your tour if you need to update your details.

Pick-ups begin in the Port Douglas CBD from 7:25am. Please be ready outside your accommodation by this time. Depending on our schedule, we may arrive a few minutes later at your location.

Important: We do not offer pick-ups from Cairns.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre

We will start at Mossman Gorge National Park, which is the southern part of the Daintree Rainforest. Your guide will share their knowledge of the local flora and fauna with you and answer any questions you may have. This is an easy 500m return walk mostly along boardwalks.

We enjoy a delicious Morning Tea at the Mossman Gorge Visitors Centre. Your choice of plunger coffee or Daintree Tea with a traditional damper served with jam, honey and cream.

2: Daintree

Next we head along the Captain Cook Hwy through the township of Mossman and past the cane fields up to the Daintree Rainforest.

3: Daintree River

At the Daintree River we will embark on a scenic Wildlife Cruise searching for snakes, beautiful birds and of course the mighty saltwater crocodiles.

On the way back in the afternoon we make our way across the Daintree River onboard the famous Daintree Ferry and enjoy the beautiful views up and down the river.

4: Daintree National Park

You will enjoy a guided walk along a boardwalk in the Daintree National Park. With an abundance of flora and fauna to discover, you will get a real understanding of how the Daintree Rainforest lives. This is an easy 650m return boardwalk.

5: Heritage Lodge In The Daintree

For lunch we head to the On The Turps Restaurant located at the Heritage Lodge. Enjoy a delicious cooked to order lunch in this open air restaurant nestled in the rainforest along the Cooper Creek.

6: Cooper Creek

After lunch you are welcome to enjoy a refreshing swim in Cooper Creek. This beautiful rainforest creek is easy to access via a path from the restaurant and free of crocodiles. Relax and enjoy the tranquillity.

7: Cape Tribulation

ts now time to head off towards Cape Tribulation, the area famous for the saying where the Rainforest meets the Reef. You have time for a walk along the beach or to the lookout, an area steeped in history that is explained by your knowledgeable tour guide.

8: Daintree Ice Cream Company

On the way back to the Daintree River we stop for Ice Cream flavoured with locally grown tropical fruits. A real treat while on holiday!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your Port Douglas sightseeing cruise to the Great Barrier Reef begins when you board a luxury catamaran to the Low Isles in the quieter morning hours, before most visitors arrive. Enjoy professional service by the attentive crew on the smaller 33-passenger vessel.

On arrival, you'll have 4.5 hours to spend at your leisure; slip on the provided snorkel gear and explore the undersea coral gardens of a sheltered lagoon just offshore, stroll to the historic 19th-century lighthouse, or simply relax under the shade of tropical palm trees on the white-sand beach. If you'd prefer a snorkeling tour led by a marine biologist, explore the magical underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef with your guide.

Theres more eco-education aboard a glass-bottom boat tour, with expert commentary and stunning views of iridescent fish and fluorescent coral.

1: Low Isles

Sail from Port Douglas aboard a luxury catamaran to visit Low Isles in the quieter morning hours, before the majority of visitors arrive. After cruising from the mainland, arrive at Low Isles, where you can spend four and a half hours at Low Isles, a coral cay island where you can relax under palm trees on the white sands and snorkel off-beach in the sheltered lagoons undersea coral gardens.

Take a walk to Low Isles historic lighthouse, dating from 1878, or learn about the Great Barrier Reefs magical underwater world of iridescent fish and fluorescent coral on a guided snorkel tour led by a marine biologist. Theres more fun eco-education aboard a glass-bottom boat tour, with stunning coral views and expert commentary.

After a seafood buffet lunch on board the catamaran, soak up the sun on the deck or return to the water for a final snorkel before returning to Port Douglas by 4pm.

Only a select group of operators are permitted to visit the coral cay Low Isles, the only Great Barrier Reef island a short sail from Port Douglas. This cruise combines luxury and eco credentials, for a premium reef experience.

To participate in the activity of snorkelling, you must be confident in the water with the capacity to swim unassisted. If you are a poor swimmer, you may not be suitable to snorkel in the open water. Not all passengers will be suitable to snorkel, and our experienced crew have the discretion to advise against snorkelling if deemed not suitable for the activity. This is for the safety of the passenger. Please be advised snorkelling can be a strenuous physical activity, even in calm water and that older people are at an increased risk of death and/or injury due to a higher incidence of medical conditions made worse by physical exertion, such as heart disease and stroke. All passengers intending to snorkel will be asked to complete our Medical Declaration for Snorkelling form. Our experienced crew will discuss any issues relating to medical conditions and swimming ability. Our Sailaway vessels are luxury sailing catamarans and we offer a pure sailing experience. This means the vessels travel in open seas and will move around whilst under sail. The decks of the vessels are multi levels and can be slippery when wet. Passengers must have good mobility to safely move around the vessels, step onto the glass bottom boats (if applicable) and get in and out of the water via the ladders on the back of the vessels. Unfortunately, we do not offer wheelchair access due to the layout of the decks and saloon areas. Our tours are adventure experiences for active travellers. 1: Four Mile Beach

Our trail consists of spectacular beach, ocean and World Heritage Mountain views.

We will be gliding along the contours of the beach. Following the ocean waves and

sandy straights as we head towards the headland at the southern end of Four Mile

Beach, taking in the gorgeous views as we have a break.

On your tour we will be exploring small rainforest trails, the sandy flats at low tide,

creeks & crossings, and if theres time we will glide through the local precinct with

possible encounters of our wildlife.

There is Lots of free ride time, stops to take photos, and rest breaks along the way

to absorb the serene beauty and breathtaking views of Port Douglas.

Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM with a hotel pick-up. With only 20 guests, enjoy a personal and informative tour as we head to Hartleys Crocodile Adventures, arriving by 8:50 AM. Take a boat cruise on Hartleys Lagoon to witness thrilling crocodile feeding, followed by free time to explore the park's wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos, and more.

Begin the day with morning pickup from your Port Douglas accommodation.

Ride in your air-conditioned minivan to Freshwater Station to take the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway (if option selected), which winds through the World Heritage-listed rainforest, passing towering waterfalls and the Barron Gorge. We begin with a drive along the Captain Cook Highway, on the way to the Daintree River, and share a little history along the way.

1: Poseidon Outer Reef Cruises

Cruising from Port Douglas aboard the modern high speed dive and snorkel catamaran Poseidon, youll have more time to spend at three fabulous snorkeling and diving sites on Agincourt Reefs outer limits. Renowned for its coral and marine life, the reef is known for being the best diving and snorkeling day trip destination from Port Douglas.

This cruise suits experienced divers and beginners alike, whether youre a certified diver or you just want to go snorkeling. If youre a diver, you can take up to three dives into the Great Barrier Reefs coral gardens. Your guide for the day will accompany you to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, for a superb day of diving at pristine dive sites.

During the 90-minute journey to the reef, you will receive a detailed briefing on the diving procedures for the day; safety, and also on the reef and wildlife that you will see that day.

Underwater, enjoy a first-class experience, visiting 3 different sites, with your guide taking care of navigating the reef while pointing out all of the creatures and highlights along the way.

During the ride back to Port Douglas, we then have time to relive the best moments from the day, going through the fish books and logging the dives for you to look back on for years to come.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Agincourt Reef is a fantastic base for discovering the outer Great Barrier Reef, featuring a permanently moored pontoon for easy underwater exploration. Your full-day adventure begins with a 1.5-hour high-speed catamaran cruise to the edges of the reef. During the voyage, relax on the sun decks, take morning tea and watch a snorkeling demonstration.

When you arrive at Agincourt, splash into the water from a submerged platform to snorkel among tropical fish and coral gardens using provided snorkeling equipment. If you prefer to stay dry, you can still explore the world-famous reef from an underwater observatory or with an included semi-submersible boat tour.

Many optional activities allow you to customize your reef adventure (additional expense). Go deeper with an introductory or certified scuba dive, take a guided snorkeling tour led by a marine biologist, embark on an Ocean Walker helmet dive or get an aerial perspective on the reef with a thrilling 10-minute helicopter flight.

1: Quicksilver Cruises

Departing from Port Douglas, your 90-minute high speed catamaran takes you directly to Agincourt Reef. The permanent pontoon moored here provides a sheltered base. During the trip a snorkeling demonstration will get you ready for your adventure, and the staff will take you through your options for the day.

You'll have around 3.5 hours to enjoy the reef at your leisure. Grab a snorkel and fins and hit the water on your own, or join an optional guided snorkeling tour with a qualified marine biologist. Snorkeling is a great way to explore the Great Barrier Reef, and there are friendly staff on hand to show you how.

Prefer to stay dry? You can explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible submarine. You'll take a leisurely cruise through colorful coral gardens, giving you a snorkeler's view of the marine life without getting wet.

For a little more adventure, why not try an introductory scuba dive. or a unique Ocean Walker Helmet Dive - no diving experience necessary.
