The western shore is dominated by Mt Wellington, with its imposing summit cliffs known as the Organ Pipes. Hobart is also a good base from which to explore the rest of the island. Hobart is also internationally famous among the yachting community as the finish of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
