Wildlife Wonders' Sanctuary offers a glimpse into an Otways habitat before the arrival of predators such as foxes and cats. Wildlife lives freely in a natural habitat, without cages, and on a wildlife walk they can be seen going about their daily lives.
Dusk is a time when most animals are active, as nocturnal animals rise for the night and day-active animals return to rest. Dusk Discovery tours are limited to just 10 people, allowing time to capture stunning sunsets as well as amazing wildlife viewing and photography opportunities.
As with all of Wildlife Wonders' experiences, 100% of profits go to support conservation and research into Australia's threatened species.

This Dusk Discovery wildlife tour gives visitors access to the Wildlife Wonders sanctuary as the sun is setting and the resident wildlife is most active.
Potoroos, bandicoots, pademelons and more are just waking up and starting their active nights of feeding and foraging, while the day-active animals are seeking their favourite spots to snooze for the night.
On this small, intimate, 90-minute tour, you will follow a 1.4km winding path through a range of habitats, while your conservationist guide gives you exclusive insights into the lives of the elusive and rarely seen animals who call the Otways home.
There will also be the opportunity for spectacular sunset photo opportunities.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet at our Trailer in the Car Park at the beach end of Grove Road in Lorne next to the swimming pool at least 10 minutes prior to your lesson start time.

After completing your booking form and collecting your wetsuit and surf board with legrope, your instructor will lead you to the beach. You'll only need to take the equipment required for your lesson, there is storage available in the trailer for your personal belongings.

Instruction will begin with a safety talk and basic instruction on the beach. Spend about 30 minutes in the water to catch your first few waves with the instructors help. Return to the beach for additional instruction on stand up techniques. Spend the rest of the time in the water catching waves and standing up with instructors assistance.

Anglesea (Pass by)

Anglesea is the second coastal town along the Great Ocean Road. These are quite a number of wild kangaroos here especially at one of the public golf-course nearby. These kangaroos are often visible from the outside of the golf club. We will try to spot these beautiful jumpy marsupials.

Disclaimer: these are wild animals and can be anywhere, we cannot guarantee they will be there however from our experience we see them most of the time in the early morning.

2: Memorial Arch at Eastern View

Our standard pick-up time is 7am, however please note that during winter months and for select hotels, the pick-up time might be amended to either 06:30am 06:45am to avoid traffic.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Make your own way to Torquay to meet your surf instructor.

Get outfitted with surfing gear such as a wetsuit and surfboard, then receive a safety briefing from your surfing instructor. Learn how to handle yourself and your surfboard in the ocean, and practice basic skills for catching waves and popping up on the board.

No previous experience is required for your group surfing lesson, which provides a fun introduction to one of Australia's favorite water sports.

Hi all! Well it's going to be a blast, surfing in my back yard,Torquay. We are only a short walk to the beach from our shop in Bell St. We have changing rooms, toilets and hot showers. We will go through the fundamentals on the beach and then hit the surf. The coaching and surfing is around 2 hours so see you soon..................
