The Temple of Heaven was built in 1420 AD in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD) and rebuilt twice in the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911 AD). It was the imperial place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the Heaven and prayed for harvests. It is listed as a World Cultural Heritage. The well-known Altar of Prayer for Good Harvests is the main architecture there. Your guide will lead you to visit the Circular Mound Altar, Imperial Vault of Heaven, Divine Music Administration and Palace of Abstinence, and learn Heaven worship culture in ancient China.

In addition to appreciating the splendid architecture in the Temple of Heaven, you can also see the local people's leisured life there. They are doing more exercises, playing chess, playing musical instruments, practicing singing, dancing or Taichi. It has become a large park for the locals, so you can see the real live scenes. Today, we will hiking via the eastern section of Huanghuacheng Great Wall and will have a picnic lunch in the wall, we will hiking around 3km.
but the all the climbing up and down on the trail will make it feel fairly tough. Its steep in places, with a hill climb to get up on to the wall, and then more climbing up and down on the way to the end.
During the way, Youll see steep and weathered remains of Ming Dynasty wall, and a repaired section where you can see the wall as it may have looked like when first built.

The Huanghuacheng Great Wall is Ming Dynasty-era Great Wall, and was built in the late 1500s. The Huanghuacheng Great Wall has a solid foundation of cut stones, with bricks used for the battlements and towers. This type of construction is seen only in the later Ming Dynasty walls.
The Great Wall here was built to defend a pass that leads from the northern plains down to Beijing. There are also watchtowers built on high hills and fortified barracks that housed soldiers.
There are two lakes at either end of this line of wall, made by dams built in the 1970 and 1990.

It was the imperial place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the Heaven and prayed for harvests. It is listed as a World Cultural Heritage. The well-known Altar of Prayer for Good Harvests is the main architecture there.
