5: Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan)

In the afternoon visit the Old Summer Palace, was a vast imperial garden complex. It was unfortunately destroyed during the Second Opium War in 1860 by Anglo-French forces. Despite its ruins, it still holds great historical value and is a symbol of China's modern history.
Your guide will lead you through the ruins, pointing out the remains of palaces, temples, and other structures. You'll learn about the grandeur of the Old Summer Palace before its destruction and the tragic events that led to its ruin. The guide will share stories about the emperors who used to live here and the cultural treasures that were once housed in this magnificent garden.

WHAT TO EXPECT

After morning pickup at your hotel in Beijing, travel in an air-conditioned private vehicle to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, a journey that takes about 1.5 hours.

The Mutianyu section is less crowded than other parts of the Great Wall of China. Ride a cable car up to the top of this World Heritage Site, get great photo ops, and have the option to take a toboggan back down.

Take a break for lunch in a local restaurant, then continue to the Summer Palace, located about one hour away. The Summer Palace features many beautiful pavilions, temples, ornate bridges, and a huge lake. Your guide points out highlights such as the Long Corridor, Seventeen Arches Bridge, Qingyan Stone Boat, Kunming Lake, and Longevity Hill.

When booking, you can choose the all-inclusive option, which covers your private guide and driver, lunch, entrance fees, and tickets for the cable car and toboggan at the Great Wall, or simply book your private guide and driver only.

Your tour ends in the late afternoon with drop-off at your hotel.

1: Mutianyu Great Wall

In the morning, your professional English speaking tour guide and driver with air-conditioning car will come to pick you up from your hotel lobby. Then you will go to the Mutianyu Great Wall first (1.5 hours driving), which is further section in Beijing area and less crowed. This stretch of the Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings dense woods and rich pastures that change colors with the seasons of the year. It winds its way over 1000 meters to the crest of a mountain, before turning sharply and dipping downhill.

You'll have around two hours to explore the Great Wall. It takes around half an hour to hike up on foot, or you can choose to take the cable car or chair lift: it's also possible to toboggan.

2: Summer Palace

After your tasty lunch in a local restaurant, you will visit the Summer Palace. It takes a bit over an hour to get there from the Great Wall. The Summer Palace was the royal garden in the past time. There are beautiful many pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges and huge lake, and corridors. While the Long Corridor is the longest one in the world which is on the Genuineness World Records. You will also see famous Seventeen Arches Bridge, Qingyan Stone Boat, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill there.

After the tour. Then drive you back to the hotel.

1: Dingling Underground Palace

You will pick up in your centrally located hotel lobby from 8:00am. Drive to the Scared Path and Underground Palace of Ming Tombs. The Scared Path is the best preserved and coplete one in China. The Sacred Way (or Divine Road) which means the road leading to the heaven. The Emperor, known as son of the Heaven, who came from Heaven to his country through the Scared way, also deservedly would return to Heaven through this road. The road is lined with marble statues which are important decorations of the mausoleum.

2: Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling)

Followed by a visit to Underground Palace of Dingling Tomb. The only one excavated to the public. Tourists can see precious antiques unearthed from the tomb in the the exhibition halls.

3: Guyaju Caves

After lunch, in the afternoon. Continue on to the Guyaju Caves, a multi-village complex of more than 170 dwellings carved directly into the rock face. Believed to have been carved by an ethnic minority called the Xiyi between the Tang and lIao Dynasties, the remarkable caves resemble 'ant farms for human' and consist of rooms of varying shapes and styles complete with doors, windows, kitchen rabges, and closets.

After the full-dya tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in downtown Beijng.

1: Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling)

Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle around 08:00am.

Drive to visit the Scared Path and Underground Palace of Ming Tomb for about 1 hour.

The Scared Path is the best preserved and complete one. The Sacred Way (or Divine Road) which means the road leading to heaven. The Emperor, known as the Son of the Heaven, who came from Heaven to his country through the Sacred Way, also deservedly would return to Heaven through this road. The road is lined with stone statues which are important decorations of the mausoleum. These marble statues are 12 human figures and 24 animals.

2: Dingling Underground Palace

Followed visit Underground Palace of Dingling Tomb. Ming Tomb is the final resting place of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors, along with 23 empresses and a number of concubines. It has a history of over 600 years. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, Ming Tomb features splendid landscape.

The Underground Palace with five chambers, the underground palace of Dingling is 27 meters deep with a total floor space of 1,195 square meters. All chambers were built of stone without using a single beam or column. Dingling is the only excavated tomb for archaeological exploration. Tourists can see precious antiques in the exhibition halls. You will enter to the underground palace to see the emperor's coffins, marble thrones and treasures.

Be transferred back to your hotel after the tour is finished.

1: Mutianyu Great Wall

With our VIP FAST PASS, our guests do Not need wait in queue for the scenic shuttle bus transfer, instead our car drives directly to the entrance of climbing path, which saves our guests' precious time (at least 1+ hour for both trip).

We will pick you up from your hotel at appointed time, normally 7:00am-9:00am, you can tell us pickup time in the booking. We drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall, which take about 1.5 hours.
