1: Li River

Begin your day early in the morning as we pick you up at your hotel lobby at 8:00am and take you to the Mopan hill Pier. From there, embark on your Li River cruise trip from Guilin to Yangshuo on our comfortable boat.

Relax on the boat and take in the majestic scenery of the Li River. Glide along the water, with the hills and the rugged nature around you on all sides. Yangti Dyke (Pass by)

Yangdi Village is located on the west bank of the Li River, about 50km (31 miles) from Guilin, and 40km (25 miles) north of Yangshuo County. Behind the village lies a hill consisting of twin peaks, which look like two sheep hoofs hanging upside down. Hence the village gets its name Yangdi, which has a harmonic tone with 'Yangti', the Chinese expression for 'sheep hoofs'.

Jiuma Mountain (Pass by)

Mural Hill(Jiuma Mountain), also known as Nine Horses Fresco Hill, is an attraction you can never miss if you visit Li River. It is located on the west bank of Li River, about 60 km (37 miles) from Guilin and close to Xingping Town. Facing the broad and peaceful watercourse is a large and steep stone cliff which looks like a huge painted screen. Backed by mountains and consisting of five peaks, Mural Hill is an assemblage of weathered rocks in yellow, white, black, grey and green colors. Looking from a distance the mottled cliff face resembles a huge piece of mural with images of nine horses in various poses.

Xianggong Mountain (Pass by)

In the beginning, Xianggong Mountain was merely an obscure small karst hill on the west bank of Li River in Yangshuo County of Guilin. A few years ago, a local photographer took some pictures on the top of this mountain and won the bronze prize in an international photography contest, making Xianggong Mountain famous overnight. From then on, it became a popular tourist destination beloved by enthusiastic photographers.

Xingping Town (Pass by)

Once, in ancient times, Xingping Town was the largest town along the Li River, and is 63 km (39 miles) from Guilin and 25 km (15.5 miles) from Yangshuo, on the east bank of the river. The town is really a beautiful place, surrounded by enthralling scenery. Both Mural Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal belong to this scenic area.

Xingping Fishing Village (Pass by)

Lying on the east bank of the Li River upstream from Yangshuo, the fishing village has a history dating back more than 500 years. Founded during the Ming Dynasty in 1506, this picturesque village is infused with typical Lingnan or southeastern Chinese provincial culture.

There are 48 traditional residences that have been remarkably well preserved throughout the years. Special features of these residences include blue brickwork, black tiles, sloping roofs, horse head walls, cornices and carved windows. The houses are classic examples of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynastic architecture.

2: West Street

After the river cruise, we will visit the Yangshuo West street for 30 minutes.

West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. Situated at the center of Yangshuo County, the street has become, since the 1980's, a window of eastern and western culture and the biggest 'foreign language center' in China. It is the most prosperous district in Yangshuo, and, each year, approximately 100,000 foreigners come here on their travels or to attend advanced studies. Visitors are attracted to West Street by its unique mix of cultures.

The West Street is 517 meters (1,696 feet) long and 8 meters (26 feet) wide, meandering in an 'S' along its length. Being completely paved with marble it is a typical example of a southern China street. It is greatly admired by foreigners for its simple style and courtyard-like setting. There is a saying about it that 'half is village while the other half is stores'.

Yangshuo Park (Pass by)

Yangshuo Park is located in Yangshuo, covering an area of 230 thousand sq m (271 thousand sq yd). The park has both a big and a small gates. They are carved with the parks name in Chinese by famous calligraphers. There are plenty of osmanthus trees and bamboos in the park, providing a peaceful and secluded environment for visitors. Double Moon Stream runs through the park and the park is surrounded by marvelous mountains. Many locals do exercise and play Chinese chess in the park.

3: Yulong River

Yulong River, also called Little Li River, rises in Lingui County in Yangshuo. The river is about 43 kilometers (26 miles) long, with a drainage area of approximately 158 square kilometers (39,043 acres). The part of the river that stretches from Yulong Bridge in Baisha Town, to Gongnong Bridge near Big Banyan Tree along the Ten-Mile Gallery, is known as the Yulong River Scenic Area, and includes some spectacular scenic views along each river bank.

4: Yulong Bridge

When we arriving in the Dragon village then we will visit the Yulong(Dragon) bridge for a while.

The Chinese word 'Yulong' refers to 'meeting a dragon'. Local legend has it that a dragon from the East Sea strolled across the Yulong River and, being deeply impressed by the attractive landscape, decided to stay there forever. The villagers living on the river bank saw the dragon several times, and hence the river is named so.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Li River

Your guide pick you up at your hotel lobby at about 08:30 am. Enjoy the 1-hour drive to Zhujiang Dock to board one of the best cruises on the Li River. As the ship departs from Guilin at about 9:30 am your fantastic cruise journey starts. Your guide will escort you on board and give you an introduction to the different sites along the way. Once you are there, you would find out what it means by "picturesque"!

Around noon, have a simple lunch offered onboard by the cruise company and continue the cruise. The cruise will arrive in Yangshuo after approx. 4 hours.

The Ruyi Peak, this is new spot is spectacular for the ropeway(3km away from Moon hill and on the way to the Silver Cave). With a total length of 2.3km, Ruyi Peak Ropeway adopts advanced equipment from POMA Company of France, using 8-passenger detachable mono-cable gondola lift, with elevation difference of 242m, horizontal distance of 1800m, and single way capacity of 2000Ppl/hr. WHAT TO EXPECT

After morning pickup from your central Guilin hotel, travel to the Zhujiang Pier.

Board your boat, and settle in the enclosed cabin or on the outdoor deck for your approximately 4-hour River Li cruise. The duration will depend on weather and river levels.

Yangti Dyke (Pass by)

Yangdi Village is located on the west bank of the Li River, about 50km (31 miles) from Guilin, and 40km (25 miles) north of Yangshuo County. Behind the village lies a hill consisting of twin peaks, which look like two sheep hoofs hanging upside down. Hence the village gets its name Yangdi, which has a harmonic tone with 'Yangti', the Chinese expression for 'sheep hoofs'.

Jiuma Mountain (Pass by)

Mural Hill(Jiuma Mountain), also known as Nine Horses Fresco Hill, is an attraction you can never miss if you visit Li River. It is located on the west bank of Li River, about 60 km (37 miles) from Guilin and close to Xingping Town. Facing the broad and peaceful watercourse is a large and steep stone cliff which looks like a huge painted screen. Backed by mountains and consisting of five peaks, Mural Hill is an assemblage of weathered rocks in yellow, white, black, grey and green colors. Looking from a distance the mottled cliff face resembles a huge piece of mural with images of nine horses in various poses.

Xianggong Mountain (Pass by)

In the beginning, Xianggong Mountain was merely an obscure small karst hill on the west bank of Li River in Yangshuo County of Guilin. A few years ago, a local photographer took some pictures on the top of this mountain and won the bronze prize in an international photography contest, making Xianggong Mountain famous overnight. From then on, it became a popular tourist destination beloved by enthusiastic photographers.

Xingping Town (Pass by)

Once, in ancient times, Xingping Town was the largest town along the Li River, and is 63 km (39 miles) from Guilin and 25 km (15.5 miles) from Yangshuo, on the east bank of the river. The town is really a beautiful place, surrounded by enthralling scenery. Both Mural Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal belong to this scenic area.

Xingping Fishing Village (Pass by)

Lying on the east bank of the Li River upstream from Yangshuo, the fishing village has a history dating back more than 500 years. Founded during the Ming Dynasty in 1506, this picturesque village is infused with typical Lingnan or southeastern Chinese provincial culture.

There are 48 traditional residences that have been remarkably well preserved throughout the years. Special features of these residences include blue brickwork, black tiles, sloping roofs, horse head walls, cornices and carved windows. The houses are classic examples of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynastic architecture.

2: West Street

After the river cruise, we will visit the Yangshuo West street for 30 minutes.

West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. Situated at the center of Yangshuo County, the street has become, since the 1980's, a window of eastern and western culture and the biggest 'foreign language center' in China. It is the most prosperous district in Yangshuo, and, each year, approximately 100,000 foreigners come here on their travels or to attend advanced studies. Visitors are attracted to West Street by its unique mix of cultures.

The West Street is 517 meters (1,696 feet) long and 8 meters (26 feet) wide, meandering in an 'S' along its length. Being completely paved with marble it is a typical example of a southern China street. It is greatly admired by foreigners for its simple style and courtyard-like setting. There is a saying about it that 'half is village while the other half is stores'.

Yangshuo Park (Pass by)

Yangshuo Park is located in Yangshuo, covering an area of 230 thousand sq m (271 thousand sq yd). The park has both a big and a small gates. They are carved with the parks name in Chinese by famous calligraphers. There are plenty of osmanthus trees and bamboos in the park, providing a peaceful and secluded environment for visitors. Double Moon Stream runs through the park and the park is surrounded by marvelous mountains. Many locals do exercise and play Chinese chess in the park.

Shiwai Taoyuan (Pass by)

Shangri-la Park, 17 kilometers (10 miles) from Yangshuo of Guilin, is a beautiful garden centered on Yanzi Lake and features beautiful landscapes such as a lotus pond, peach trees and Yanzi Cave. Ethnic tribes and minorities in north Guangxi demonstrate their old customs and culture for you here. The park is called Shi Wai Tao Yuan in Chinese, meaning a wonderland with flourishing peach blossoms. The name originated from the wonderful and peaceful land evoked in an essay by Tao Yuanming, a great idyllist of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317 - 420).

The Xianggong Mountain is located on the west bank of Li River between Huangbu Shoal and Nine-Horse Mural Hill. The Yulong River, known as 'the Little Li River', is a tributary of the Li River. It starts in Northern Yangshuo County. Featuring the dramatic karst landscape, silky water, and ancient bridges, the river is a great place for bamboo rafting.

The most popular way to enjoy the scenery of the Yulong River is to take a bamboo raft. Even if you have experienced a cruise or bamboo rafting on the Li River, you should not miss this smaller, quainter river.

The longest raft route starts at Jinlong Bridge and ends at Jiuxian Bridge. It takes about 1.5-2 hours. Most visitors prefer to choose a this section of the river for a raft ride.

Yu Long Bridge lies on the Yu Long River in Yu Long Village of Yangshuos Baisha Township. It is the largest single-arched stone bridge in Guangxi Province. The bridge is 36m long, 9m high and 4.2m wide. As one of the famous bridge in Guangxi, Yu Long Bridge is in simple style with strong ethnic characters.

The bridge was built in Yong Le Period during the Ming Dynasty (1412). It is a single-arched stone bridge lies on the river like a rainbow. It is said that the Yu Long River was named An Le River and had no bridge before. In the Ming Dynasty, a student went to the capital to take part in the highest imperial examination. When he walked by the river, a monster was here making wild waves that no one could across the river. The student was very nervous and worried. A girl passed by and he told her the monster in the river. The girl wanted to help the student. She flied to East Sea and invited the Dragon King and the Eight Immortals to kill the monster. The Dragon King defeated the monster and the water in Yu Long River became calm. At the same time, there is a golden bridge on the river. The girl is a daughter of the Dragon King. They fell in love and pledge their eternal love. The student took the exam and became the number one scholar. 3 years later, the student came back and found the girl. They lived at the bank of An Le River. For thanking the Dragon King, the student built a bridge on the river, named Yu Long Bridge and the An Le River was also changed to Yu Long River.

3: Moon Hill

After one hour driving along the Yulong river and of course we can stop some villages then we will reach the Moon hill.
The Moon Hill is widely renowned for the rare gift from nature - a natural-formed moon-like cavern passing through just below its summit. When look up at the foot of the mountain, you can have a clearly view of the moon on its top. Once reach its top, you will have a magnificent 360 degree panorama of the whole Yangshuo County surrounding by never-ending karst peaks.

Also, if you want to climb the moon hill then you just pay 15RMB for the entrance ticket by locally and 30 mins can reach the top of the hill.

4: Langzi Ancient Village

And then we head to Liangzi village which was originally founded in Shunzhi Period of Qing Dynasty. It has a history of over 350 years. The first ancestor of the village is Qing Zhengyao, from Qingyauan of Yishan County, Guangxi Province. He was a warrior of Li Zichengs peasant rebel army stationing in Beiping. When Qings soldiers breaking through Beiping, their army was defeated and fee. He passed Langzi when he ran back from Beiping. On seeing the fertile land, clear water and green mountains, he chose to stay here. Later, he had one son and two grandsons. Year by years hard work of generations by generations, in Xianfeng Period, Qing Family is prosperous and rich. So, they employed craftsmen and expended the village.

1: Li River

Take this Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo which is the highlight of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. Gorgeous Karst peaks give you a surprise at every bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Water buffaloes sprawl in the fields, peasants reap rice paddies, and school kids and fishermen float by on bamboo rafts. With its breathtaking scenery, life on the river is a taste of a life far from the bustling metropolis.

Your day will begin with a pickup at 8:00 in the morning from your hotel in Guilin. From here, you will travel to Zhujiang pier, where you will board the cruise boat. The cruise lasts approximately 4 hours (from 9:30am to 13:30pm). During this time you will enjoy stunning scenery of the Li River.

Yangti Dyke (Pass by)

Yangdi Village is located on the west bank of the Li River, about 50km (31 miles) from Guilin, and 40km (25 miles) north of Yangshuo County. Behind the village lies a hill consisting of twin peaks, which look like two sheep hoofs hanging upside down. Hence the village gets its name Yangdi, which has a harmonic tone with 'Yangti', the Chinese expression for 'sheep hoofs'.

Jiuma Mountain (Pass by)

Mural Hill(Jiuma Mountain), also known as Nine Horses Fresco Hill, is an attraction you can never miss if you visit Li River. It is located on the west bank of Li River, about 60 km (37 miles) from Guilin and close to Xingping Town. Facing the broad and peaceful watercourse is a large and steep stone cliff which looks like a huge painted screen. Backed by mountains and consisting of five peaks, Mural Hill is an assemblage of weathered rocks in yellow, white, black, grey and green colors. Looking from a distance the mottled cliff face resembles a huge piece of mural with images of nine horses in various poses.

Xingping Town (Pass by)

Once, in ancient times, Xingping Town was the largest town along the Li River, and is 63 km (39 miles) from Guilin and 25 km (15.5 miles) from Yangshuo, on the east bank of the river. The town is really a beautiful place, surrounded by enthralling scenery. Both Mural Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal belong to this scenic area.

Xingping Fishing Village (Pass by)

Lying on the east bank of the Li River upstream from Yangshuo, the fishing village has a history dating back more than 500 years. Founded during the Ming Dynasty in 1506, this picturesque village is infused with typical Lingnan or southeastern Chinese provincial culture.

There are 48 traditional residences that have been remarkably well preserved throughout the years. Special features of these residences include blue brickwork, black tiles, sloping roofs, horse head walls, cornices and carved windows. The houses are classic examples of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynastic architecture.

2: West Street

After the river cruise, we will visit the Yangshuo West street for 30 minutes.

West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. Situated at the center of Yangshuo County, the street has become, since the 1980's, a window of eastern and western culture and the biggest 'foreign language center' in China. It is the most prosperous district in Yangshuo, and, each year, approximately 100,000 foreigners come here on their travels or to attend advanced studies. Visitors are attracted to West Street by its unique mix of cultures.

The West Street is 517 meters (1,696 feet) long and 8 meters (26 feet) wide, meandering in an 'S' along its length. Being completely paved with marble it is a typical example of a southern China street. It is greatly admired by foreigners for its simple style and courtyard-like setting. There is a saying about it that 'half is village while the other half is stores'.

Yangshuo Park (Pass by)

Yangshuo Park is located in Yangshuo, covering an area of 230 thousand sq m (271 thousand sq yd). The park has both a big and a small gates. They are carved with the parks name in Chinese by famous calligraphers. There are plenty of osmanthus trees and bamboos in the park, providing a peaceful and secluded environment for visitors. Double Moon Stream runs through the park and the park is surrounded by marvelous mountains. Many locals do exercise and play Chinese chess in the park.

3: Xianggong Mountain

After the West street, we will head to the XIanggong hill and need 40 mins driving and 450 Steps to reach the top of the hill.

In the beginning, Xianggong Mountain was merely an obscure small karst hill on the west bank of Li River in Yangshuo County of Guilin. A few years ago, a local photographer took some pictures on the top of this mountain and won the bronze prize in an international photography contest, making Xianggong Mountain famous overnight. From then on, it became a popular tourist destination beloved by enthusiastic photographers.

The Longsheng Hot Spring National Park, it is about 2 hours away from Guilin center or 2.5hrs driving from Yangshuo. Covering an area of 260 hectares (about 642 acres), the park boasts a dense forest with rare animals and plants, as well as its natural hot springs. The best known attractions in the park are the sixteen hot springs Varity with different size and functions. These springs spout over 1,200 meters from underground river at water temperatures ranging from 45C (113F) to 58C (136F). The waters contain various elements including zinc, manganese, lithium, strontium and iron that are beneficial to health. Bathing in the springs is not only good for your heath, but reputedly, can alleviate diseases such as rheumatism as well as certain skin problem. Unlike other hot springs, the water here is purifying that can be drunk directly from the source. It is a modern complex which offers a range of baths, massage services, saunas and swimming pools.

After visit the Reed flute cave, then we head to Guilin Crown Cave
and need one hour driving.
The Crown cave is a magnificent karst cave in Caoping Hui Nationality village about 29 km from Guilin. It is a part of Crown Mountain. The Crown Cave scenic area covers an area about 4000 hectares. Integrating natural scenes, meeting and holiday facilities, accommodation and dining service into one, the Crown Cave is reputed as Li River Pearl.

Crown cave also has gained an entry into the Guinness book of records due to the numerous ways of exploration. Xiong Village is located in Guilin Daxu Town, 7.5 km away from the big Weizhen. Xiong Village is one with a history of 2,000 years of ancient villages, According to the village elders, the village was named Xiong Xiong Village, the ancestor of the Department moved from Jiangxi. With the expansion of the South Central Plains culture, merchants increasingly developed, especially the rise of Hunan, Guangxi the progressive development and prosperity, surnamed dissolved, the huge increase in population, the village was renamed for the Xiong

The history of Daxu dates back to over 2,000 years ago when it was founded during the era of the Qin Dynasty that ruled in China between the years of 221 and 207 BC. Centuries later during the Ming Dynasty, Daxu thrived as a leading trade and commercial hub due to its close proximity to the Li River. The thirteen docks that can still be seen in Daxu today are the remnants of this former golden age.

As industry, technology and tourism grew and spread elsewhere in China over the next several hundred years, the ancient village of Daxu somehow managed to make time stand still and has maintained its antique architecture and traditional way of life.

Your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby at around 8:00 am. After a approximately 50-minute drive, you will arrive at the pier. The driver guide will assist you in collecting your boat tickets at the pier.

Note: During the summer holiday (July to August), please book your tour with us as early as possible, as boat tickets are difficult to secure. If regular boat tickets are unavailable, we will arrange an electric boat for you from Yangdi to Nine Horses Hill or Xingping Town.

The Li River cruise lasts about 4 hours, arriving in Yangshuo at approximately 1:30 PM. Along the journey from the pier to Yangshuo, youll pass by countless grotesque peaks, creating a picturesque landscape. The river winds like a green ribbon, while the peaks rise like bamboo shoots, forming a breathtaking natural gallery.

As you cruise down the river, youll be captivated by the inverted reflections of the fantastically shaped peaks, the crystal-clear water, the lush green hills, and the bamboo groves. Youll also have the chance to see the iconic scenery featured on the 20 Yuan note in Xingping Town.

Learn about Yao lifestyles here, before you journey up to Ping'an Village, set among the dazzling rice terraces of Longji, and still home to traditional wooden houses, where Zhuang and Yao minorities tend their fields as they have for centuries. (Entrance fees, which are around 100 RMB, are at your own expense.)

Enjoy a traditional lunch in Ping'an (own expense) before your guide leads you through the rice terraces, telling the story of how these stunning landscapes were created over many centuries as the locals carved fields out of the vertiginous slopes of Longji.
