Fuji Five Lakes is a region at the base of Mount Fuji that includes Yamanaka, Kawaguchi, Saiko, Shôji and Motosu lakes. At its heart is Fujiyoshida city, with its Yoshida Trail up Mount Fuji, Fuji-Q Highland amusement park and the Fujiyama Onsen hot springs with wooden bathhouses. Lake Kawaguchi, known for its resorts and museums is also nearby; and just west, Lake Saiko is famed for its trout and Aokigahara forest.
