WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Waimea Canyon State Park

Driving east to west, youll witness a change in vegetation and climate as you transition into the rain shadow, characterized by the arid farmland of the islands leeward side (on the opposite side of mountains from typical trade wind direction). Along the way, well pass through the agricultural towns of Hanapp and Waimea and learn the important role they played in Kauais history.

Your tour continues across the center of the island, winding along the rim of Waimea Canyon and to the North Shore, 4,000 feet (1,220 m) above the spectacular Npali Coast. Rainbow-colored canyon walls and cool mountain air create an otherworldly ambiance thats unlike anything youve experienced.

We will stop at a couple of the choicest Waimea Canyon overlooks, including one with a view of 800-foot Waipoo Falls, before beginning our ridge hike from one of the trailheads in Kkee State Park or Waimea Canyon SP (depending on your private group and local conditions).

2: Koke'e State Park

Your tour continues across the center of the island, winding along the rim of Waimea Canyon and to the North Shore, 4,000 feet (1,220 m) above the spectacular Npali Coast. Rainbow-colored canyon walls and cool mountain air create an otherworldly. There we will enjoy jaw-dropping views of the world-famous Npali Coast and/or Waimea Canyon from these vantage points (weather permitting).

We will eat lunch inside charmingly rustic Kkee Lodge in between hikes/overlooks or at a picnic spot, if you chose to pack a lunch. ambiance thats unlike anything youve experienced.

Price listed does not include visitor entrance & parking charge. This fee goes to help support and maintain our precious state parks and will vary depending on the size of your group. It can be paid by credit card at self-service kiosks in select state park parking lots.

Passengers must be 10yrs old or older to participate on the Doors Off flight. Only passengers 16 years old and older can be on an outside/edge seat.

Weight restrictions: Any passenger exceeding 230lbs, two passenger combined over 400lbs or for groups of 3 or more an average weight of 190lbs or more an additional seat must be purchased at the time of booking. Any passenger over 250lbs no matter what the combined weight is must purchase an additional seat. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers on board.

We pickup from hotels on the north and east side of Kauai starting at 8:00am in Princeville, 8:45am in Kapaa, 9:00am in Wailua and 9:15am at Smith's Boats at the Wailua Marina for guests coming from Lihue or the south side. Please call 24-hrs before your tour to confirm pickup time and location. Tour is about 6-7 hours depending on traffic and pickup location.

1: Fern Grotto

Board a spacious, open-air river boat for a two mile leisurely journey to the Fern Grotto where youll enjoy a short nature walk through the rainforest. The Fern Grotto is a geological wonder of Kauai where ferns grow upside down from the roof of the grotto. A natural amphitheater of lava rock and tropical vegetation is the perfect backdrop as you are serenaded and entertained by Hawaiian musicians and hula dancers.

I'm Tara, and as a traveler, guide, and videographer, I have created an immersive social game that is unlike any other scavenger hunt. Designed to help your team take a deeper dive into Kauai , my goal as a creator is to provide rare opportunities to connect with this unique and beautiful place.

If you can trust me to make that jump, I promise I'll give you the tools you need (you'll learn the Vibe Test to find friendly locals) to explore Hanalei in a different and creative way. And I'll be there (even if a co-host lends a hand) myself, a creative game show host in your pocket. I'll cheer your team on and offer commentary as you find clues. No one is more excited than me to see the creativity the collaboration creates.

This is no piece of paper with a hunt list or an employee following a script. Each hunt is personally curated and slightly different depending on your responses, my prospective hunters. If tickets to the Navy boat launch tour out to the Arizona Memorial are available by the National Park on the day of your tour they will be provided. On occasion and due to external factors outside of our control (including inclement weather, closure of the Memorial by the National Park Service and/or shortages of boat launch tickets), there is the possibility of not being able to visit the Arizona Memorial during your visit. You will still be able to visit the many exhibits at the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center and view the Arizona Memorial from the shoreline.

Shirt and shoes are required to board the Arizona Memorial, swimsuits are not permitted. Strollers are not permitted in the theater or shuttle boats.

NO BAG POLICY: The US Department of the Interior has declared a no bags policy at Pearl Harbor. Passengers may not carry any concealing items including purses, handbags, backpacks, diaper bags, etc. Small cameras are permitted but must not be in a bag. No items are allowed to be left on your tour vehicle. When going over to Ford Island to visit the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and/or the Battleship Missouri, guests are required to carry government issued photo identification and NO BAGS are allowed on the vehicle. Ford Island is an active military base and guests may be asked by security personnel at any time for their identification to ensure a safe environment for all. We will take beautiful pictures of your family here on the beautiful island of Kauai.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Get an early start to make the most of the fresh tropical morning, and meet your guide at the launch point near the Wailua River, Kauais only navigable waterway. Get outfitted with a provided kayak, paddle, and life vest, and store your belongings in a dry bag before setting off on the gentle currents.

Soak up the verdant jungle scenery and views of volcanic peaks in the distance on a 2-mile (3.2-kilometer) paddle upriver towards the north fork. Feel transported back in time as you pass by the traditional huts of Kamokila Village and hear tales of the native Hawaiian people who once lived around and traveled the river more than 1,500 years ago.

Take a break from paddling to explore the rain forest by foot on a moderate hike to the Ulewehi Waterfall, where youll be rewarded with views of the majestic falls cascading 120 feet (36 meters) down a mountain cliff. Recharge with a refreshing swim in the cool jungle pool before heading back to the trail and paddling back on the Wailua.

There is a reason Kauai is considered the Garden Islelush jungles, scenic waterways, and cascading waterfalls set against dramatic volcanic mountains create the perfect tropical backdrop. While there are many ways to explore this natural wonder, kayaking uniquely lets you experience the many facets of this island paradise.

Your kayak exploration of the Wailua begins with a two-mile paddle up Kauais only navigable river. Your friendly, local guide will help you find the best routes as you pass through Kamokila Village and toward the north fork of the river, sharing stories of the early Hawaiians who first paddled these waters over 1,500 years ago.

After your paddle, youll step off your kayak for a moderate hike through a lush rainforest along the secret falls trail, until you reach a stunning 120-foot cascade plummeting down a mountain cliff. WHAT TO EXPECT

Kauais Na Pali Coast is a dramatic, 16-mile (26-kilometer) stretch of jagged cliffs and emerald valleys along the islands northwestern shore. The best way to view the spectacular scenery is from the water. Begin your adventure at Port Allen Marina Center, where you meet your friendly captain and crew. After a safety briefing and storage of your personal items in a dry bag, hop aboard a 14-person inflatable, motorized raft.

Your nimble vessel allows the group to get close to the shore and dart in and out of sea caves and under waterfalls (weather permitting). As you cruise along the coast, your crew shares information and legends about the landscape and help you spot passing marine life such as dolphins, whales, and sea turtles. Don a provided snorkeling mask and fins, then splash into the clear waters at Nualolo Kai to explore one of the best coral reefs in Kaua (conditions permitting).

Take a break partway through the tour for an onboard meal. Beverages are provided throughout the journey so you stay hydrated.

Your coastal adventure concludes back at Port Allen.

An exciting way to explore the beauty of Kauai while traveling up the West coast to the Na Pali. Encounter playful dolphins, green sea turtles, and humpback whales (Dec.-March.) WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Hanalei Bay

Slip into Hanalei River from our own private dock. We will head down stream sharing history of the Hanalei river & getting comfortable in our kayaks before heading out into Hanalei Bay where we spend the majority of our time. There we check out our Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (Honu) before heading over to the beach where we will land our kayaks and take everyone out snorkeling (45 mins). Guides will share modern day reef ecology and point out what to look for while snorkeling. After snorkeling we provide a full deli style lunch, sit, hang out, & answer any questions you may have about our island. Our guides are born and raised here and take pride in sharing their island knowledge.
This tour has an 8am check in time and runs from 8:30am-1pm. We will fit you for snorkel gear (you are welcome to bring your own full set of gear or a full set will be provided(no mix & match of gear). Full face masks not permitted on tour.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Splash into the watery wonders of Hanalei River and Hanalei Bay as you explore some of Kauais most picturesque landscapes. Meet your local guide at the departure point near the Hanalei River, and then hop aboard a double kayak and begin your leisurely paddle downriver. Along the way, soak in the peaceful atmosphere and passing scenery of taro fields and tropical forests.

After approximately 45 minutes of kayaking, disembark on the shores of beautiful Hanalei Bay and recharge with a snack break. Admire spectacular views of the bay, made famous by the 1958 film "South Pacific," and learn about ancient Hawaiian fire-throwing ceremonies conducted from the dramatic Makana Peak.

Slip on a snorkeling mask and fins, and then dive into the warm turquoise waters of Hanaleis Bay Reef Lagoon. Explore underwater reef formations and be on the lookout for Hawaiian marine life such as brilliant tropical fish and sea turtles. Youll also have a chance to ride the gentle waves of the bay on a sea kayak if you like. Finish your half-day tour with another short kayak ride and a drive back to the original departure point.

We have time to do it all: from blue water paddling to snorkeling, bird watching, beachcombing, or perhaps exploring a few tide pools, all during a memorable day that combines more or less 4 hours of the intermittent sea and river kayaking with beach and reef time all within the enchantment of Hanalei River, Bay, and Estuary. Approximately 1.5 hours of driving time to and from store. All guest must be comfortable in the ocean.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Join your pilot, along with an intimate group of three other guests, and jump into your open-door helicopter. Buckle up, put on your communication headset, and get settled in your window seat.

As you take to the skies, begin by viewing lush canyons, cliffs, and flowing water from above. Then, as you fly above Kauai, get the chance to see the Manawaiopuna Falls from Jurassic Park, as well as the Na Pali Coast.

The captain will narrate this scenic 2 1/2 mile trip up the Hulei'a River. You will be able to see and learn the famous Menehune Fish Pond, Famous movie sights, A glimpse of the National Wildlife Refuge, and Rice family ranch. Fish, birds and native plants remain up river.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Make your own way to the designated meeting point to begin your 5-hour active adventure kayaking and hiking along the Wailua River and swimming at hidden waterfalls.

Paddle a kayak along the beautiful river, looking out for birds and animals along the way. Head into the lush tropical rainforest on a moderate hike to the impressive Uluwehi Falls, often named Secret Falls because youd have trouble finding them independently. Learn more about the nature and culture of this beautiful area from your guide, and avoid the risk of getting lost by going with someone who knows the way.

Take a refreshing swim in the falls and relax with a picnic (bring your own) before heading back to the starting point.

Npali Coast State Wilderness Park lies in the northwest of Kauai Island, Hawaii. Its known for its towering pali, or sea cliffs, punctuated by narrow valleys, streams and cascading waterfalls. This is the crown jewel of Kauai.

Mt. Waialeale (Pass by)

Mount Waialeale is a shield volcano and the second highest point on the island of Kauai. Its name literally means "rippling water" or "overflowing water".

The mountain, at an elevation of 5,148 feet averages more than 373 inches of rain a year since 1912, with a record 683 inches in 1982; its summit is one of the rainiest spots on earth.

Manawaiopuna Falls is a waterfall in the Hawaiian Islands, located in Hanapepe Valley on Kauai Island. It is 400 ft tall. It was featured in the background of several scenes in the 1993 Steven Spielberg film Jurassic Park.
