We couldn't use our first car rental in Oahu because of the system. It set it up completely incorrectly and we still have not received a refund. Therefore, we had to use our own vacation money for a rental which cost us over $700. Throughout this trip, we had over $1600 in holds with the rental companies. It was a complete nightmare. Next time, I will book independently.

Oahu and Maui by Air

Everything was fantastic across the board -- ease of booking, hotels, flights, iPhone app all made our trip seamless. only one minor complaint about Jetstar airlines portion of the planning---I received an email from you a while back saying we needed to add baggage for this trip. and at online checkin it said the same so I paid for the weight of our bags. but as soon as I paid for that my confirmation said that it was adding that to an already existing 20kilos for each of us which would more than cover what we were traveling with. I pointed this out at the airport on my Cairns to Melbourne flight when I noticed it. so It may have happened on my first jetstar flight too. I paid but don't think I noticed the confirmation email for that one for whatever reason. Anyway, airport said they couldn't do anything about it to remove the fee there even though it was before i travelled and that I should contact Jetstar through their online chat which is how they handle everything apparently. I did
