- Type:Cultural and Heritage Tours

OVERVIEWThis excursion represents an off the beaten mystery trail in Goa, led by an Archaeologist, where we explore 9000-year-old rock carvings and laterite caves, which are believed to be the home of the Pandavas from the Hindu epic of Mahabharata. We move on to Netravali temple lake with its quirky bubbles and a spice farm where we have a traditional Goan lunch.
Highlights:

WHAT TO EXPECT1: Kushavati RiverYour driver will pick you up from your hotel in Goa at 08:30 A.M. along with an English speaking guide and start your tour.
The trail starts at an old site in Goa situated in a little hamlet on the banks of the river Kushavati. The petroglyphs or rock inscriptions from Panasalimal on the banks of river Kushavati date back to the Stone Age. The inscriptions on laterite have a depiction of animals, concentric circles, and human puppets.2 hours -Admission Ticket Free2: RivonaWe proceed to visit the village of Rivona to see a natural cave made of laterite. It is believed to be the home of the Pandavas of the Mahabharata fame, during their exile. We will also visit a tunnel dug in the laterite, which is supposed to open out in the neighboring village.
Next on the tour is a mysterious lake in the town of Netravati. Situated in the vicinity of the Gopinath Temple and devoted to Lord Krishna, this lake is acclaimed for bubbles on its surface. What is considerably queerer is the way that these air pockets rise when we clap. Is this a supernatural occurrence of Lord Krishna? Or then again is there a logical clarification? Our Archaeologist will reveal some insight into this amid the visit.3 hours -Admission Ticket Free3: Tanshikar Spice Farm and restaurant with authentic dishesOur last stop will be a visit to a spice farm. Tanishkars farm is situated in the rainforest region of Western Ghats at Netravali village. We will visit the spice farm and have a traditional Goan lunch served in earthen vessels surrounded by nature.
After lunch, you will take a tour of the farm and learn about different spices that are grown here. After the completion of your trip our driver will escort you back to your hotel in Goa.3 hours -Admission Ticket IncludedADDITIONAL INFOInfants are required to sit on an adults lapNot recommended for travelers with spinal injuriesNot recommended for pregnant travelersNot recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular healthTravelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitnessDress code is smart casualChildren under 15 must be accompanied by an adultNot wheelchair accessibleThis tour/activity will have a maximum of 8 travelersCANCELLATION POLICYFor a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.(For information purpose only - definite start times will show on voucher, once confirmed) -
