WHAT TO EXPECT

After meeting your guide, head first for Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion). Admire the temples gleaming golden pavilion and learn how it used to be the political center of the shogun.

Next stop is Arashiyama Bamboo Grove followed by Tenryu-ji Temple, which is known for its traditional Japanese landscaped garden. Next stop is Togetsu-kyo Bridge from where you can enjoy one of Kyotos best views. The next stop is a little unusual: Arashiyama Kimono Forest Kyoto is an art installation of 600 cylinders adorned with kimono designs.

Fushimi Inari Shrine (Fushimi Inari Taisha), one of Kyotos best-known attractions is next, followed by Kiyomizu-dera Temple, then Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka, which you have time to explore independently.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We offer an activity in which participants experience how to make sushi in English and eat the sushi that you made.
After self-introductions, participants practice how to make sushi with a sushi sample.
You will make 5 nigiri, 1 gunkan( boat shape) and using a makisu (bamboo mat), participants will make two types of skinny roll and divide them into six equal portions.
The finished product is beautifully arranged according to the individuals sensibilities.
The ingredients used for the sushi are freshly prepared every morning by veteran sushi chefs from the Kyoto Central Wholesale Market, and the quality is of the highest level.

A vegan (gluten-free) sushi option is also available with advance notice.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Make your way to the meeting place, located in central Kyoto. Meet your *kyodo kyoshi* (kyodo teacher) and your small group of fellow kyudo students, ready to experience Japanese archery.

Your class begins with an introduction to the history and art of kyudo, as well as your teachers impressive credentials. Then its time to try your hand shooting an arrow with a bow. Through one-on-one guidance, your teacher ensures that you learn the proper technique, including proper arm and foot placement, so that you gain a good understanding and enthusiasm for this unique Japanese tradition.

Finally, your teacher provides information on how to continue using your newfound kyodo skills back home.

You will experience Japanese archery called Kyudo with a professional teacher. Our teacher has practiced Kyudo for more than 50 years and has Kyudo Kyoshi (teacher) 6th grade.

In this beginner-friendly experience, learn the practice of Kyudo. This includes learning about the proper form, as well as the tools and techniques used, through our instructor's hands on guidance.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our expert instructor, who may not speak flawless English but more than makes up for it with his passion and dedication. We provide English materials about the art of Kyudo, ensuring a fun experience as you bond with our teacher through the universal language of gestures and shared enthusiasm for this unique Japanese tradition.

Our facility is a beautifully renovated traditional Japanese house that dates back 130 years. We provide a genuine sushi making experience in a splendid mansion whose history goes back to the end of the nineteenth century.
Welcomed by a space decorated with antique paintings and furnished with classic commodities, you may learn from our local instructor the art of sushi making.

A mix of the Gion and the Higashiyama areas. We can do parts of the following during your one hour photoshoot and get a variety of Kyoto's beautiful backgrounds.
Here are some of the following we can do dependin
Gion - Traditional streets, small shrines, and temples / Higashiyama - Go through Maruyama Park, Ninenzaka, and the Yasaka Pagoda.
This gives you a nice mix of traditional and natural spots to look back on fondly.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In a calm and elegant setting, you will wear a carefully preserved antique kimono and step into the world of the Japanese tea ceremony. Choose your favorite piece from a collection of over 100 antique kimonos, and a professional dresser will style you for the experience. After dressing, you are welcome to enjoy commemorative photo sessions inside the shop.

The experience begins with an introduction to the basics of the tea ceremony, its role in Japanese culture, the importance of seasonal awareness, and the unique sense of beauty valued in Japan. WHAT TO EXPECT

Through this experience, you will learn about forging in depth. You will learn how to use the tools and make a knife using the same traditional process as Japanese kitchen knives. It will be an experience you will never forget.

This experience includes

1. Change into a traditional goldsmith outfit for an authentic experience!
2. Learn how to make a knife using the traditional process of making Japanese kitchen knives
3. Process of "forging" is the key in this experience! No worries even if you're a beginner!
4. Sharpening the knife.
5. Polishing the knife and your masterpiece is completed!

The size of the knife is approximately 13 to 15 centimeters, depends on the person.
At studio NIN, we want as many people as possible to experience forging, so we offer a 2.5 hours experience to make a small size knife.

Experience an authentic tea ceremony, which is at the heart of Japanese culture and is a centuries old ritual, in Kyoto. Youll be provided with a tea bowl, tea scoops and whisks, and instruction on how to make matcha. Youll also try matcha and sweets, and you are encouraged to ask questions. Photos and short videos are permitted. Usually guests sit on the floor, but chairs and tables are also available if preferred.

WHAT TO EXPECT

At the start of your session, your host will welcome you with a brief introduction to the world of matcha. Tea ceremony lies at the heart of Japanese culture, and to enjoy this centuries old ritual will provide a deeper understanding of the history, architecture and tastes of Kyoto.

Before performing an authentic tea ceremony, your personal instructor will explain a little about the steps involved in the ceremony, the utensils used and the importance of the rooms decoration and layout. Guests will enjoy a seasonal sweet with their tea, and there is plenty of time for asking questions and chatting with the host.

The experience ends with each guest having the opportunity to make their own bowl of frothy matcha, mastering the basics of tea making.

We want your time with us to be a rich and enjoyable one, and to that end we encourage guests to not only participate but actively ask any questions they might have about Japan and tea ceremony. All our instructors speak English fluently and hail from one of Kyoto's three main schools of tea ceremony.

At Camellia authenticity and inclusivity are very important, and we strive to provide memories our guests will treasure.
