The one-day Dhampus tour takes us back from the busy city of Pokhara to the rural area of the Annapurna region. From the beautiful village of Dhampus, we see the full beauty of the Annapurna range with the magnificent peaks of Annapurna South, Himchule and Machhapuchre Himal. On this one day tour, we have the chance to deep dive into the rural life of Nepal. A great alternative to a multi-day trekking tour.

We start our tour after breakfast in Pokhara for 45 min. drive by taxi to Phedi. From Phedi, we walk 3 hours to Dhampus village and stay there for lunch. After lunch, we descend to Kande and from there take a taxi back to Pokhara.

This is an average of total 5-7 hrs total trip and 4 hrs walking trail crossing the beautiful Begnas lake (Which is a little bit smaller than Phewa Lake). After reaching Begnas Lake climb up to the Begnaskot located on an altitude of approximately 1,100 meters from sea level which will take around 2 hours walk. From the top you will be able to see magnificent view of Begnas and Rupa lake, Beautiful Annapurna- Dhaulagiri Himalayan ranges, forest area covered the entire hill and beautiful traditional Nepali villages. WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Australian Camp

Early morning, we will pick you up at 8am from lakeside Pokhara and drive to Kande. We suggest you to have your breakfast before 8am. The drive takes less than 1 hr. We begin our trek from Kande; the trail is uphill all the way to Australian Camp. You can enjoy the majestic views of Annapurna ranges, Macchapuchre, Hiunchuli, Dhaulagiri and Lamjung Himal from the Australian camp. After eating warm lunch at the Camp you will trek down to Dhampus. Dhampus is a scenic village inhabited by Magar and Gurung communities. Spending sometime in Dhampus, we trek further down to Phedi and then finally drive back to Pokhara.
