A spectacular 18 minute train ride will take you up New Zealands only mountain railway to the start of your Ziplining experience. Driving Creek Railway is a unique rail tour and must-do activity in Coromandel, New Zealand. As part of Driving Creeks not-for-profit mission, every booking helps support native biodiversity and our creative legacy.

This family-friendly, all-weather experience takes you on a 1 hour 15 minute journey on New Zealands only mountain railway. Hand-built by artist, engineer and conservationist Barry Brickell, the railway climbs through regenerating native forest, now a thriving wildlife sanctuary.

Youll cross ten bridges and three tunnels, with spectacular views from the EyeFull Tower. Along the way, your guide will share the inspiring story of how art, engineering and conservation shaped Driving Creek Railway.

Visit Cathedral Cove, one of New Zealands most iconic natural landmarks. The walk to Cathedral Cove takes between 30 - 45 minutes, but the reward is well worth itstunning coastal views and the opportunity to explore this breathtaking beach. Acess to Cathedral Cove is weather-dependent. For safety reasons, the track may be unsuitable after or during heavy rain. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made to ensure you still have an incredible experience.

Shakespeare Cliff Scenic and Historic Reserve (Pass by)

Brian points out the cliff formation Captain Cook named in 1769 and shares the story of how Mercury Bay got its name. The volcanic coastline opens up as you head south.

Te Whanganui-A-Hei (Cathedral Cove) Marine Reserve (Pass by)

Iconic rock formations, Narnia filming locations, and the famous Te Hoho Rock - seen from the water, in a way most visitors never experience.

Mercury Bay (Pass by)

Experience Champagne Bay and its ancient blowholes and cave systems carved by centuries of wave action. Cave Cruzer is the only vessel on the bay that goes inside.

1: Orua Sea Cave

New Zealand's second-largest sea cave. Brian cuts the engine, plays music, and lets the acoustics do the rest. Music from here on our return.

2: Gemstone Bay

Visit Gemstone Bay or the best spot on the day. Snorkel in the marine reserve or watch from the boat. Rock jumping available for those who want it.

3: Te Whanganui-A-Hei (Cathedral Cove) Marine Reserve

View fish in the Marine Reserve from the boat without getting wet, however you can get closer having a short snorkel/swim if desired. Mask & snorkel supplied.

Hahei (Pass by)

Pass Hahei & view the headland that was once a Maori Pa (village) site & see through the cave & out the other side, we call the keyhole.

4: Whale Cave

Optional rock jumping available here, conditions dependant.

Poikeke Island (Pass by)

Cruise through the heart of a volcanic rock arch rising straight from the sea at Poikeke Island. Watch for dolphins in the Bay of Islands on the way out, then pass through Hole in the Rock if conditions allow.

Whitianga Wharf (Pass by)

Music on, full throttle back.
