If you are staying in Fox Glacier, then the pick up time from your hotel is 30 AFTER the tour departure time.
Please allow an extra 15 minutes on top of this for road delays, check in delays in our office as well as other pick ups in Fox Glacier. So we aim to pick you up between 2:00 pm and 2:15 pm.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Board your twin-engine helicopter for a premier 40-minute flight including a remote snow landing above the eponymous glacier. Within the open-plan helicopter cabin that seats up to six passengers, look down upon two of New Zealand's finest national parks, divided by the imposing Southern Alps.

From your vantage point in the air, discover the vast expanse of Franz Josef and Fox glaciers. Youll get up close to towering peaks and crevasses, and learn about the alpine wonderland of the Murchison Glacier valley, as your pilot delivers expert commentary en route.

Then descend onto a snowfield with a helicopter landing at around 7,000 feet (2,134 meters), and walk along the main divide, which offers panoramic views of Aoraki/Mt Cook and Tasman Glacier.

Start your Southern Alps glacier discovery at Franz Josef town, where you'll board your helicopter for the 30-minute flight. WHAT TO EXPECT

Climb into the helicopter and lift off above the town, flying across the two massive glaciers that creep through Westland Tai Poutini National Park. WHAT TO EXPECT

Let us take you on an amazing, guided off-roading adventure! Ride through a beautiful rainforest, splash through rivers, explore an ancient glacier riverbed while being blown away by the breath-taking scenery including the spectacular Southern Alps and Franz Josef Glacier.

Your guide will kit you out with wet weather gear and gumboots and teach you how to ride our off-roading vehicles. They will entertain you and amaze you with beautiful local Maori Legends and history while refining your skills and giving you new challenges to conquer.

On this private Pilots Choice flight you'll see two of the three "big" glaciers. You'll fly over the Franz Josef Glacier then over either the Fox Glacier or Tasman Glacier past Mount Cook and fly into the Southern Alps to enjoy the included 10 minute snow landing for photos. Total experience time approx. 35 minutes.

Nestled between New Zealands highest mountains, the Tasman Sea, stunning rainforests, glowing glaciers, mirror lakes and braided river beds, Franz Josef Glacier has been described as one of the most beautiful places to skydive in the world.

Tandem skydiving is the fastest, easiest and safest way for an inexperienced skydiver to enjoy the thrill of jumping out of a plane, free falling through the sky at 200kph/120mph and floating safely to the ground under a parachute. You can simply enjoy the thrill of the experience knowing your tandem instructor has everything under control.

Persons weighing between 100-115kg may be able to jump, subject to assessment by a tandem master and a harness fitting on the day. All persons weighing 100kg or over subject to a small surcharge, which varies based on weight. The minimum weight requirement is 35kg, and all passengers must be large enough to fit safely into the harness. The ability for a child to jump is determined by their, weight, size and how the harness fits. The minimum weight is 35kg and .
