Thailand
Thailand is one of the most visited countries in Asia because of its rich diversity of cultures and traditions. With its history, lively arts, beautiful beaches, friendly people, and one of the best cuisines in the world, the Kingdom is a never-ending source of fascination for international visitors. The Northeast area hosts some lovely forested mountains and national parks. The major highlight is probably the famous Khao Yai national park, but other interesting places in this area are Nong Khai and Surin. In the south, travelers can relax at some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, for example, Koh Tao, Krabi, Koh Samui, Phuket, or Trang.
Laos
Natural in almost every aspect, Laos is one of Southeast Asia's least developed nations offering the adventurous tourist a land of many surprises. Embrace this wonderful opportunity to experience its untouched culture and its majestic beauty. Surnamed the 'Land of a Million Elephants,' Laos has a rich cultural heritage with religious art and architecture forming the cornerstone of artistic traditions. Enjoy a trip to Wat Phousy on top of the hill overlooking the Mekong River and experience the Wat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful temple. Since 1995 Luang Prabang has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage City.
Cambodia
Cambodia is perhaps one of the least known destinations in South East Asia. Any visit to Cambodia should include a visit to its capital, Phnom Penh, a city renowned for its beauty. The key tourist attraction of the country is 'Angkor Wat Archeological Park' near the northern town of Siem Reap. The nearly 900-year-old temple of Angkor Wat, along with some 100 other temples, such as 'The Bayon', and 'Ta Prom', are described as the jewels of the country. Other tourist destinations are Kampong Som on the South Coast where you can relax, sunbathe and snorkel and Battambang, the second-largest city in the country, offering a fine line of colonial buildings.
Singapore
Singapore is a small, diamond-shaped island country in Southeast Asia. With humble origins as a fishing village, Singapore has transformed itself into a dynamic, cutting edge city while still maintaining its historical and cultural charm. Singapore, having just celebrated 50 years of independence, is a young, vibrant country that has become a global economic powerhouse and a top destination for Americans traveling to Asia. Singapore's exotic landscapes contrast beautifully with stunning new sky-scrapers, ethnically diverse neighborhoods, a harmonious blend of cultures, verdant greenery throughout the island, and a mouth-watering food scene that leaves nothing to be desired.
