Upon your arrival in Cai Be at about 9.30.A.M, you will set off by motor boat to pay a visit to the Cai Be floating market where you can observe the locals trading fruit and many other local goods on board their vessels.

Next, you will visit a small family business to know the traditional way they use to make coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn.

Then, you will stroll around the small villages to visit the huge orchard and fruit plantation, as well as join in the amazing performance of traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.

Around 11.30 AM, you will resume cruising to a system of small canals to explore the hidden charms of the Upper Mekong Delta.

Don't forget, we'll pick you up at your hotel bright and early at 4:30 AM and leave for Can Tho City. It takes approximately 3 hours to get to the City. The Cai Rang Floating Market is bustling from sunrise until around 9 AM, and that's when we'll head there by boat, about a 30-minute ride. You'll have the chance to hop on a merchant boat and check out all the colorful fruits like mangoes, rambutans, longans, and the "King of fruit" durian. While on the boat, you'll taste some delicious street foods like Pho, Bun Rieu, Com Tam, and Hu Tieu. We'll also see how noodles and rice paper "Banh Trang" are made and take a leisurely walk around the countryside. Of course, we can't miss out on trying tropical fruits, sipping hot tea, and going on a fun fishing trip. After that, we'll head to Vinh Long - Cai Be.

We'll kick off the day by hopping on the Hoa Dinh boat at the station to cross the Mekong River and head to Vam Ho Bridge in Tam Hiep Islet. You'll visit the district's famous organic longan garden and stroll along the local house promenade. You'll also get to hang out in a resident's home, savor some honey tea water, try various tropical fruits, and munch on some delicious sponge cake. Plus, you'll see how coconut handicrafts and palm brooms are made.

At this bustling floating market, the cries of the sellers seem to be swallowed up by the immensity of the river and lost into the noise of the boat engines. The disadvantageous situation appears to favor the emergence of a unique advertising method: the sellers advertise their wares from the top of a long pole attached to their boats.

Every boat has a tall upright pole with samples of the goods for sale hung on it, so the sellers don't have to cry out what they are selling and buyers can easily see the goods sold on that boat from a far distance. Just look up and one will know exactly which boat is providing the products they are looking for.

2: My Tho

Your afternoon trip continues from here by motorized boat on the Tien River to the Lan ( Unicorn Islet).

You will visit a local fruit garden and enjoy the tropical fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by islanders. Here you also can join daily activities of the local people. Visit the bee house, and take the picture of the pythons. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.

The boat cruise will lead you through Bao Dinh canal, entering Ben Tre province "the land of coconuts." Here you'll see a typical agricultural model called "Garden - Pond Cage, before visiting the coconut candy-making shop.

Next, enjoy a rowing boat trip on the small canal, fully covered by the shadow of the water coconuts trees. After your boat ride, take another boat ride back to the port before returning to the van. You will arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City at around 5:30 to 6:00 PM.

05:00 am, Tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. We will have a light breakfast in the private car. On the way to Mekong Delta, you can also spread out of sight watching endless green or yellow paddy rice field on the both sides of the street. Otherwise, taking a nap during the time of transfer is a good thing to do to get more energy back and enjoy the whole tour as well.

After about 3-hour driving from Saigon through the express highway, we reach Cai Rang Floating Market in Can Tho City.

Then, we take a private boat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the most famous and biggest floating markets in the Mekong Delta. From the early morning, a countless number of boats and sampans will gather here, making the whole area more lively and stunning than ever. While the large boats are full of farm products and specialties, such as vegetables, grapefruit, coconut, banana, watermelon, dragon fruit, and rambutan, small ones mainly focus on selling foods, coffee, light snacks, Vietnamese noodles, soft drinks, etc. for breakfast. It would be regretful if you could not drop by and purchase something here.

After that, our tour guide takes you to some traditional workshops. You have a great time learning how locals make Hu Tieu. The talented chef Gordon Ramsay, once exclaimed that the bowl of noodles he ate at Cai Rang Floating Market has one of the best broths he has ever tasted.

11:00 am, leaving Can Tho City, we head to Cai Be (Tien Giang Province) for cooking class.

2: Vinh Trang Temple

Vinh Trang pagoda is the biggest pagoda in Tien Giang, with area of 2000m2 with many beautiful trees. However, formerly it was a small leaf hermitage set up in the early 19th century by District Chief Bui Cong Dat. In 1849, the Most Venerable Abbot Thich Hue Dang put it up a big pagoda and named it Vinh Trang Pagoda. After many times of changing who in charge of the pagada and reconstructing, now the pagoda has many netlike panels, horizontal boards and oblong boards of the parallel sentences.
The beautiful structure of pagoda features a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Cambodian architectural styles. Specially, the extremely beautiful structures in the pagoda are two triumphal arches bearing an art of inserting bottle and porcelain fragments which create harmonious pictures illustrating the Buddhas legendaries. The pagoda has three entrances and the central gate is always close while the two sides are open. These side gates are adorned with colorful porcelain mosaics featuring Buddhist folktales and natural scenery. Besides, the façade of Vinh Trang pagoda is decorated with both Asian and European architecture including elements from Renaissance period, French decorative flowers together with Japanese enameled tile. If you look from far distance, the pagoda resembles the five-tower of Angkor temple. The pagoda is surrounded by gardens of ornamental trees, ancient trees and bonsai, creating a peaceful atmosphere. It provided shelter for Vietnamese patriots and is recognized as a national historical and cultural relic by the government.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Between 7:30 and 8:00AM, that is the time we pick up customers. Then go straight to Cu Chi tunnels. Spending 5 hours there then head back to the city to have lunch. After lunch, we will travel around the city to see some most iconic places in Ho Chi Minh city. Around 4:00 PM we will say good bye and take customer back to their hotel.

Cu Chi Tunnels (Pass by)

The tunnels are a great destination located 70 km from the Ho Chi Minh City Center to the Northwest. Cu Chi was known as the area of steel in the war time, and the tunnel systems were over 200km, which was considered the unbreakable underground village in the Vietnam-American war. It is legendary for its network of tunnels and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

1: Ben Dinh Tunnels

Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerillas food during the war) will be served.
Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun (The shooting fee is self-paid and only suitable for adults).
Return to Saigon. End trip.
