Yamanouchi Vacation Packages

Since the first hot springs were discovered here over 1,300 years ago, Yamanouchi has prospered as a hot spring resort. Its long history can be clearly seen in its narrow cobblestone streets, lined with rustic wooden inns and dotted with travelers in yukata robes and wooden geta sandals. With mountains that stand over 6500 feet above sea level, highlands and hot springs, it is blessed with nature’s abundance. As a matter of fact, the largest ski resort in Japan, Shiga Kogen, is also located within Yamanouchi. One single ticket gives skiers and snowboarders access to dozens of runs, some of which hosted events during the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics.
