The geographically diverse and extra-long country of Chile covers quite a vast amount of land with different climates that vary significantly. The country measures 2,485 miles in length featuring different regions such as; The Atacama Desert in the North, The Patagonian Steepe in the far South, Santiago and the Central Valley, Easter Island, and the Lake District which are the most visited. Chile’s main climate regions are tropical in the north, Mediterranean in the center, and Antarctic in the south. The climate in the country varies greatly from arid deserts to wet rainforests.

Chile is a great destination to visit year-round thanks to its staggering selection of beautiful beaches, verdant valleys, majestic mountains, tranquil lakes, and gigantic glaciers. The best time to visit totally depends on where you want to go and what you wish to see. The spring and summer months (September to February) are warm and dry and a great time to visit Santiago and Chile’s wine country, the Lake District, and skiing in Central Chile is best done in the wintertime (June, July, and August), and the adventurous landscapes of Patagonia are most accessible from November to February.
