November - April (Green Season)

The summer rains in Namibia from November to April turn the country green and sometimes bring floods to the desert. This is the time of year when you can see newborn animals, migratory birds are present, and birding is at its best. Predators are active during this season, and you can be sure to have great sightings. The rains are mostly short showers in the afternoon and rarely have a negative impact on your trip. Rates are also lower at this time because it’s considered low season. Keep in mind that it does get very hot from October to February and it can be more difficult to spot animals - this is especially true for Etosha National Park.
