October - May
The summer months from October to May is a very popular time of year to visit Fiji when the weather is pleasant and the sparkling blue waters of the South Pacific Ocean are great for snorkeling and diving. May, June, and October are considered Fiji’s shoulder months with fewer crowds and lower prices for airfare and accommodations. The average daily temperatures range between the mid-60s and mid-80s creating the perfect beach-going weather.
The water is warm all year round, and the water visibility is best this time of year. The islands are a fantastic place to enjoy endless watersports and activities. There's surfing at iconic surf spots like Cloudbreak, and Restaurants, and the World Surf League Championship Tour returns to Fiji in August of 2024. There are plenty of sailors exploring the islands at this time of year. They also come to participate in the Fiji Regatta Week in September. Scuba diving and snorkeling with manta rays is a great experience to enjoy this time of year as they hang around the Yasaw Islands and the Great Astrolabe Reef off Kadavu. There are thriving reefs of soft and hard corals to explore around the islands of Vanua Levu, and Taveuni.
