September - November

The month of September is the start of another low season in Colombia in terms of tourism. It is an excellent time to visit the country with less crowds. Daily average temperatures are around 88F degrees in Cartagena, and 66F degrees in Bogota. Prices are at their lowest across the country so visiting during this time is a great opportunity to save up to 30% on flights and accommodation, especially in November. This time of year is great for visiting the Amazon with low water levels which equals excellent hiking and wildlife spotting opportunities. October and November are the wetter months on the Caribbean Coast and in the Andes. Whales are still present on the Pacific Coast until October, and colorful algae bloom in Canto Cristales until November. The rainfall usually comes in short intense bursts.
