Winter (November - March)

Armenia experiences cold and snowy winters, making it a good time for skiing and winter sports in the mountains. It is a slow season for tourism. Temperatures drop from December onwards and heavy snow is likely in the mountain regions, as well as Yerevan. In January and February, the temperatures can fall as low as 10 degrees F in the mountains. It is snowy from November through the end of Mary, even early April. Many roads can be difficult to travel.

In the capital city, ice skating is a popular activity, and skiing is growing in popularity at the nearby Tsaghkadzor resort.
