January - April (Dry Season)

Dry Season: December through April is considered the dry season, which is particularly pronounced on the Pacific coast. Daytime highs are usually around 85 - 95°F. Evenings are warm and pleasant. The winter months of December through February is a lower season for tourism but a fantastic time to visit weather-wise. In spring, from March through April, the weather is agreeable, but there are more people traveling during this time.

This time of year is perfect for outdoor adventures such as hiking, wildlife viewing, visiting the national parks, and relaxing on the beach. It’s the most popular time to travel, so expect more tourists and higher prices, especially around holidays and festivals like Carnival (usually in February or March).
