The Ionian Sea around Kefalonia offers one of the best scuba diving spots in Europe. Expect sheer walls and overhangs, some fine caves and several wrecks, notably a German cargo shipwreck from World War Two. With an average visibility of 100 to a 130 feet and mild temperatures average sea temperatures of 75°F there are good opportunities for underwater photography.
