Winter - June - August

The winter months lead to a wonderland of winter activities and opportunities in Argentina. Skiing is a big attraction in the Lake District especially in Bariloche which is home to world-class skiing and stunning ski resorts. This area sees abundant snowfall and the skiing is fantastic during this time with a festive atmosphere and spectacular scenery. The days are very short and temperatures drop below freezing so be prepared. It's also a very busy season so prices are high and accommodations sell out quickly. July and August are a great time to visit Buenos Aires because the temperatures are cooler but pleasant, making it the ideal city to explore on foot. The month of June brings the southern right whales to the Peninsula Valdes.
