Spring - April - June

Springtime in South Korea is one of the most beautiful seasons and is considered to be one of the most popular times to visit. The season typically lasts from April to June and the average daily temperatures average between 64F degrees. The country erupts with budding trees, colorful flowers in bloom, and verdant landscapes that stretch for miles. One of the main attractions during the spring season is the spectacular vibrant sight of the iconic cherry blossoms which are especially prominent in the city of Gyeongju. This time of year is the best time to visit if you want to see breathtaking scenery of cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Temperatures during the spring season range between 50 - 75F degrees with warm sunny days and chillier nights. There are various fun festivals held in multiple cities throughout the country during the springtime including the spectacular Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Jinhae Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival on the south coast. The month of April brings crowds to the country, flights, accommodations, and sightseeing are alot busier and prices begin to creep up. The month of May brings higher rain chances, along with a dip in crowds and prices before the summer temperatures arrive. June brings the start of summer and the beginning of the monsoon season with heavy rains and high humidity levels. Due to these conditions, it is not a big month for traveling, making many cities and attractions quieter.
