Summer - June - August

The summer months are monsoon season, which lasts from June through August, and temperatures average in the mid to high 80s. This time period brings heavy rains that can cause landslides and potential travel disruptions. Due to the higher temperatures and wet weather, the humidity is high this time of year. There are fewer crowds during the summer months for obvious reasons, and the prices of accommodations and travel are lower. Due to the topography of the country, rainfall occurs mostly at night. Certain attractions and activities may be limited due to heavy rain. Rainfall peaks in July and is to be expected on a daily basis in July and August.
