1: Royal Camel Farm

Our tour guide will assist you to reach the royal camel farm where you can take memorable photos and feed the camel. Have your camera ready to pose with the camels as they are very friendly. This farm was owned by his Highness Late Shaikh Mohamed Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the uncle of the King of Bahrain. There are more than 500 camels in this farm. In olden days the camels were the mode of transport in the region to go from one place to another. Camels used to carry the load on their back to the market place along the desert.

2: Bahrain International Circuit

Visit the home of the F1 races "Bahrain International Circuit". Located in the heart of the Sakhir desert, it is a unique and contemporary facility that is synonymous with the highest levels of global motorsport. Featuring five different track layouts, the circuit first saw life in 2004 when the first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix took place in the country, making it the first-ever track in the Middle East to host the Formula 1 World Championship. Bahrain International Circuit continues to host staggering crowds and a wide range of events and activities, and serves as a platform that encourages motorsports in the country.

3: Oil Museum and first oil well

Go deep to the history of development by visiting the first oil well. As its name suggests, it is the first oil well in the Arabian Gulf and is located in Bahrain. Oil first spurted from this well on 16 October 1931, and the well finally began to blow heads of oil on the morning of 2 June 1932, to much celebration on the part of those involved in the project. The initial oil flow rate was 400 barrels per hour. The well is situated below Jebel Dukhan, dubbed the Mountain of Smoke, which, at a height of 134 m (450 ft), is the highest point of the island.

4: Tree Of Life

The Tree of Life or Shajarat-al-Hayat, as it is called in the local language, is a mesquite lonely tree that stands in the heart of Bahrains desert for over 400 years. Both its age and its location definitely make this tree a survivor, which is considered to be a remarkable natural wonder of the world witnessed by most who visit Bahrain. It stands alone, on top of a 25-foot-high sandy hill, at the highest point in Bahrain, miles away from another natural tree and with no apparent source of water. With 32 feet in height, it has continued growing-despite the extreme temperatures, lack of fresh water, and nutrients.

Start your Arabian horseback riding tour with an early morning pickup from your hotel and relax during the 20-minute drive to the stables near the Bahrain Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site (2005). On arrival at the stables, youll sit down for a traditional Arabic coffee or tea accompanied by local breakfast delicacies (choose "breakfast package").

Explore for yourself the "land of immortality", the ancestral place of Sumerians and a meeting point of gods according to the Epic of Gilgamesh.

While professionals prepare the horses for the trail ride, take in the serenity of the majestic surroundings, where heritage and modern times meet. Youll be paired with a tame horse that is well-suited to your skill level for the approximate 1-hour ride. After a safety briefing follow the same horse trails once used by Kassites, Greeks, Portuguese and Persians dating back from 2300 BC.

During the horseback trail ride, youre surrounded by gorgeous views of the Bahrain Fort, silhouetted against the sunrise as you head towards the shore of the Karbabad beach past the fort museum.

Bahrain National Museum: One of the first museums in the Gulf, the Bahrain National Museum opened in 1988. The site itself, on the edge of the sea, is a tremendous attraction, adding to its contemporary ambience which is influenced by the white travertine façade and dramatic courtyard decorated with contemporary

sculptures. The exhibition halls showcase artefacts uncovered in the numerous archaeological sites in Bahrain and underpinning the longstanding history of the island. The rich collection covers 6000 years of Bahrains history. In addition to the archaeological exhibits, two halls are dedicated to local customs and traditions, featuring clothing, housing, rituals and traditional crafts.

Royal Camel Farm: This is a privately owned Camel Farm and it is a must for people whose only contact with camels has been at a zoo or on television. The camel is a large, strong desert animal. Camels can travel great distances across hot, dry deserts with little food or water. They walk easily on soft sand where trucks would get stuck and carry people and heavy loads to places that have no roads. Camels also serve the people of the desert in many other ways. The camel carries its own built-in food supply on its back in the form of a hump. The hump is a large lump of fat that provides energy if food is hard to find.

4: King Fahd Causeway

King Fahad Causeway: Opened in 1986, this remarkable 25km feat of engineering

links Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It is one of the most expensive bridges in the world.The causeway traverses Umm Al Nasan Island, which is a sanctuary for wildlife, and at the halfway point there is a facility area, including a tower restaurant, which you

can visit even if you don't travel the whole distance to Saudi Arabia.

Bahrain National Museum: One of the first museums in the Gulf, the Bahrain National Museum opened in 1988. sculptures. The exhibition halls showcase artefacts uncovered in the numerous archaeological sites in Bahrain and underpinning the longstanding history of the island. The rich collection covers 6000 years of Bahrains history. In addition to the archaeological exhibits, two halls are dedicated to local customs and traditions, featuring clothing, housing, rituals and traditional crafts.

King Fahad Causeway: Opened in 1986, this remarkable 25km

feat of engineering links Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It is one of

the most expensive bridges in the world. The causeway traverses Umm Al Nasan Island, which is a sanctuary for wildlife and at the halfway point there is a facility area, including a tower restaurant, which you can visit even if you don't travel the whole distance to Saudi Arabia.

Burial Mounds: These archaeological mounds are of great historical importance going back to the Dilmun civilization in the third millennium BC. Other archaeological mounds, which go back to the Hellenistic period of Alexander the Great (330 BC) are also found in various areas in Bahrain. The most imposing mounds are those believed to be the Dilmunite Royal Tombs. These tombs are seen in A'ali close to modern dwellings.

Al Khamis Mosque: It is considered to be one of the oldest mosques in the region, as its foundation is believed to have been laid as early as 692 AD. Bahrain Military Museum: This Museum was opened by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on the 45th Anniversary of the Bahrain Defense Force, which occurred on February 5th, 2013. The minute you enter the museum youll be taken by awe at the rich history that it displays. The museum is divided into five different sections (The Hall of Rulers, Forts Hall, Documents Hall, Horses Hall, and Old Weapons Hall). If you start with the Hall of Rulers, youll go through the history of how Bahrain was conquered by Sh. Ahmed Al Fateh (Ahmed the Conqueror), and youll find a map of the battles that took place at that time. 20: Qala' T Bu Mahir

The earliest depiction of Qalat Bu Mahir is shown on a Portuguese map of 1635. Originally a solid, four-towered fort with massive defensive walls, Qalat Bu Mahir dominated the Bu Mahir Seashore and played an essential role in the pearling economy. It both defended the nearby Muharraq settlement and protected the basin between Muharraq and the main island of Bahrain. The latter role was vital for the protection of the pearling fleet against pirates and other Arabian Gulf aggressors at the beginning and the end of each diving season. In addition, Qalat Bu Mahir protected Muharraq towns principal water supply, a fresh water source located in the sea.
