1: Ex. Yugoslavian Military Shelter For Submarines

Looking at its tranquil present-day exterior, youll never guess that the island of Vis used to be military island, with a history of occupation and fortified defences, that was actually off limits to foreign visitors until the war in 1991. It is also home to one of Former Yugoslavian President Josip Broz Titos three submarine bases, impossible to detect from the air, but clearly visible from the road across the bay. Big enough to shelter submarines up to 110 metres long, this secret submarine base located in Parja Bay near Vis town, was part of a wider network of military tunnels and caves across the island.

2: Blue Cave

3: Komiza

Komia is situated on the island of Vis in the deep Komia bay. The mountain range Hum separates it from the rest of the island and steeply descends down to the shore of the bay forming interesting coast cliffs. This is a typical Mediterranean place with traditional architecture, narrow streets and houses around the harbour. The inhabitants were mostly seamen and fishermen due to the position and the lack of agricultural land. The important fishing history is shown in the Fishermen's Museum, one of a kind in Croatia.

Sightseeing the beautiful natural bay Stiniva located on the island of Vis. Protected as a nature reserve this small narrow bay about 600 meters long, is surrounded by high unreachable rocky cliffs on both sides. This location is accessible only by private speedboats.

5: Green Cave

The Green Cave is absolutely gorgeous and spacious, the depth varies from 3 to 5 meters, so the boat can get in which is allowing you to jump into the sea right from inside the cave. WHAT TO EXPECT

This tour was created for true lovers of hiking who wish to discover hidden spots.
The tour starts in Gaul, small picturesque settlement, and ends on Vidova gora, from where you can see the whole island of Bra and other numerous islands (Hvar, Korula, olta....) in the vicinity as well.

You will walk through numerous natural and cultural sights. Throughout your time on the trail you will discover many things, from archaeological monuments and handmade drywalls to breathtaking viewpoints and protected natural phenomena.

Your guide will take care of your safety at all times, and give you information about the beautiful nature and places we hike by.

The trail is about 7 kilometres long. The route lasts for approximately 2,5 hours, and it is strongly recommended that you wear quality sports or mountain shoes, and sportswear, and bring a lot of water.

Transfer from Postira and/or Supetar to Gaul are included.
After we reach the summit of Vidova gora we will go with a van to krip for a visit to the Museum of olive oil where we will taste oil and have a snack.

OVERVIEW

This tour is inspired by the Way of the Cross and the pilgrimage that has a long tradition in Dol. It is not easy, but it is still a great choice for all travellers, families especially, due to it being the least tiresome of our hikes.

As we embark from Dol, we join the route that has been paved in for centuries during the procession in the morning of Good Friday. From Dol, the road leads up to the church of St. Michael that oversees the village from the high central hill. This early Christian basilica dates back all the way to the 11th century.

The procession continues to Velo Brdo, the devastated small church of Holy Vid, and descends into the village. Upon arriving on the viewpoint Kuac, we stop to rest and admire the unforgettable view of Dol and Postira, and then we return to Dol.

We strongly recommend wearing quality sports or mountain shoes, sportswear and a lot of water. The route is 5.5 km long, and it lasts for about 2 hours.
