Depart the resort town and follow the coast around to your first stop, the Blue Lagoon, where youll have an hour to snorkel and swim in its vibrant blue waters using the equipment provided. With everyone back on the boat, continue farther around the peninsula to Konnos Bay, for another hour of fun in the water. Here you may also be lucky enough to spot turtles and dolphins, depending on the season. The walking route starts within thirty minutes by car from Limassol , and offers lovely vistas, especially towards the sea, from a distance of even under eight kilometers at places. One sees also significant numbers of Calabrian pines on the route, as well as a big number of other native plant species. What stands out along these trails are the vistas. On many stretches there are uninterrupted vistas towards the coast, as well as towards the manmade Germasoyeia lake (under three kilometers from some points along the route). PLEASE NOTE: We offer bespoke journeys into the Troodos mountain range and therefore the itineraries stated are subject to change with the season and the locals available to host us. The timings are a guideline and if you must be back at your accommodation at a certain time - YOU MUST LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE.
PLEASE NOTE: The Troodos mountain range spans Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos and Nicosia and it is in the mountainous areas of these districts that you find the rural villages of Cyprus. This tour DOES NOT visit Troodos Square and will only visit various villages within the Troodos mountain region.
We keep our tours authentic by visiting true locals and because these local villagers are busy with every day life we cannot guarantee which stops well be visiting after the cheese-making workshop... However, heres an example list of products - honey / traditional sweets / wine / donkey milk products / carob honey.WHAT TO EXPECTA fantastic way to explore with a local! Your guide will pick you up from an Ayia Napa / Protaras location of your choice & youll be driven into the Troodos mountain countryside to the house of a local village lady to learn the traditional technique of halloumi & anari cheese-making. This small group activity will start at the farm of our host where participants can learn how to milk the animals (goats & sheep) to collect their very own fresh milk. A tour of the cheese-making premises will follow where you'll be put to work to make your fresh halloumi cheese! This hands-on workshop ends with a traditional sit-down experience where you'll enjoy a delicious brunch which will include the cheeses made plus lots more.
We'll then continue our journey into the scenic mountain villages to visit a honey producer, traditional sweets workshop and a local making products with donkey milk. Part of our touring will be a visit to Lefkara village where youll see the local ladies making the famous Cyprus lace plus time to shop & explore.
