You will be picked up in the morning at your accomodation in Prague together with all other participants. Maximum size of our group is 7. We will drive in a comfortable Mercedes van approximately 2 hours to our first stop on this tour which is in Germany. Rest room stops guaranteed.

Bohemian Switzerland is simply the Czech part of the national park. We will spend the bigger part of the day there doing various activities mentioned below.

3: Pravcicka brana - Sokoli hnizdo

The most famous part of the Czech half of this park - is the largest sandstone arch in Europe. We start our hike from the parking lot. It is 1 kilometr on the road and 2,5 km up to the hill (the same distance back then). For most people this hike is easy but some people who are not used to walk or exercise it can be more challenging. Take your time. You will make it to the top in the end and the views that are waiting there for you are worth it. Little kids, seniors, they all are hiking to the top every day. You will do it too. Easily.
Remember, during the winter season (November to March) the arch is open only from Friday to Sunday. Tisa Rocks labyrinth is our winter alternative.

Between April and October only. Some people like this part the most. The gorge is really nice place. The access to it leads through long stairs in a forest down to a river. River Kamenice is in some parts accessible only via boat. And that is your trip. Boats leave from a port through the gorge and at the end of it they return back.

2: Charles Bridge

Charles Bridge (Karlv most) is a historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the beginning of the 15th century. The bridge replaced the old Judith Bridge built 11581172 that had been badly damaged by a flood in 1342. This new bridge was originally called Stone Bridge or Prague Bridge but has been "Charles Bridge" since 1870.As the only means of crossing the river Vltava (Moldau) until 1841, Charles Bridge was the most important connection between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town and adjacent areas. This "solid-land" connection made Prague important as a trade route between Eastern and Western Europe.

3: Prague Castle

Prague Castle is a castle complex dating from the 9th century. It is the official office of the President of the Czech Republic. The castle was a seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of former Czechoslovakia. The Bohemian Crown Jewels are kept within a hidden room inside it.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world,[1][2] occupying an area of almost 70,000 square metres (750,000 square feet), at about 570 metres (1,870 feet) in length and an average of about 130 metres (430 feet) wide. The castle is among the most visited tourist attractions in Prague attracting over 1.8 million visitors annually.[3]

5: Lennonova zed

Once a normal wall, since the 1980s it has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles' songs. Located in a small and secluded square across from the French Embassy, the wall received its first such decoration following the 1980 assassination of John Lennon when an unknown artist painted a single image of the singer-songwriter and some lyrics.

6: Museum Kampa

Kampa is an island in the Vltava river in central Prague on the side of Malá Strana. Charles Bridge crosses its northern tip and is connected to the island by the street ulice Na Kamp. It is separated from Malá Strana by a narrow artificial channel to the west called the Devil's Stream (ertovka), a waterway dug to power water mills (no longer existent). It is supposedly named after a sharp-tongued woman who lived in a local home called the Seven Devils.

Kampa is home to Museum Kampa, a modern art gallery showing central European (and in particular Czech) work. You can visit by yourself during the day.

8: Loreta Praha

Loreta is a pilgrimage destination in Hradany, a district of Prague, very close by to the Castle area. It consists of a cloister, the church of the Lords Birth, the Santa Casa and a clock tower with a famous chime.

Construction started in 1626 and the Holy Hut was blessed on 25 March 1631. The architect was the Italian Giovanni Orsi, and the project was financed by Kateina Benigna, a noblewoman of the Lobkowicz family.

The Czernin Palace (ernínský palác) is the largest of the baroque palaces of Prague, which has served as the offices of the former Czechoslovak and later Czech foreign ministry since the 1930s. It was commissioned by the diplomat Humprecht Jan ernín z Chudenic, the Habsburg imperial ambassador to Venice and Rome, in the 1660s.The palace features stuccos by Italian artists.

This beautiful baroque Marian pilgrimage site with the Baroque Church of the Nativity and a replica of the Holy House is surrounded by cloisters and chapels. We usually do not enter, but is you like you can decide to pay the entry fee (about 10USD) and see the interior treasures.

3: Waldstein Garden

This vast palace and garden is a charming Baroque was built by one of the most powerful and wealthiest Czech noblemen, Albrecht von Wallenstein. Today it is the seat of the Czech Senate. The beautiful Wallenstein Gardens are open to the public during the summer, free of charge.

4: Charles Bridge

We will stroll across Pragues oldest bridge, the iconic Charles Bridge, adorned with 30 picturesque statues and featuring the most beautiful Gothic bridge tower in Europe. Standing since 1357, the bridges legendary construction is said to have been helped by eggs mixed into the mortar. Touch the magical five-star sign to make a wish, and feel the power of the saints. This is the heart of Prague, where you can immerse yourself in the citys golden pasta truly romantic experience! You might even recognize the setting from the first Mission Impossible movie.

Nearby, explore the charming Prague Venice area, with its Devils Stream side channel, and the famous John Lennon Wall, a symbol of anti-communist protest. At the bridges end, youll see the magnificent Klementinum, a former Jesuit College now serving as the National Library.

5: Staromestske namesti

Strolling through the oldest streets, we will reach the charming Old Town Square, the 3D textbook of many architectural styles. There are many important sights: the baroque, gateau-like St. Nicholas church, the Kinský Palace - the citys finest rococo facade, the gothic House at the Stone Bell, the spiky-topped Church of Týn and much more. The Square is dominated by the Jan Hus Statue and the Old Town Hall (damaged by Nazis in W.W. II). Everybody just "wow" at the truly amazing Astronomical Clock with the hourly show - 12 apostles appearing in two windows and the skeleton ringing the bell.
Notice the bloody execution place marked by the crosses.
We can also reach the tower of the Town Hall (by lift :-) and enjoy a panoramic view.

6: Church of Our Lady before Tyn

The Church of Our Lady before Týn is among the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Prague. Its distinctive twin spires make the Týn Church an unmistakable Old Town landmark. The illustrious Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe is buried in this Church.

8: Obecni Dum

The most beautiful Art Noveau building of Prague. The Municipal House facade is eye-catching monumental architectural composition. Monumental allegorical figures, displayed all over the facade of the building, which were created by some of the greatest local artists.
Anthropomorphical sculptures are accompanied by decor with Art Nouveau floral ornaments as well as other classical architectural elements.

It is a civic building that houses Smetana Hall, a celebrated concert venue, where The Prague Spring festival is held.

9: Old Town Hall with Astronomical Clock

The Old Town Hall Tower is one of the most striking buildings in Prague. Inside is a staircase and an elevator, which visitors can climb or ride to the top to take in beautiful views over the Old Town.
The amazing mediaeval clock is located at the side of the Old Town Hall Tower. When the clock strikes the hour, the procession of the Twelve Apostles statues appears in front of visitors.
