WHAT TO EXPECT1: Egeskov CastleThis water castle is one of the most beautiful in all Europe, especially because it looks the same now as it did when it was constructed in 1554. It was built in the middle of a small lake. The conical towers at each end have arrow slits and holes for dropping scalding oil or water on attackers.
