Our Taster Surfing Lessons introduce you to this super-cool and fun sport, teaching you the basics from beach safety to stand up surfing. Youll get suited up in toasty-warm Rip Curl wetsuits and ID vests in our heated changing rooms. We also have safety lockers to store your clothes and valuables before heading down to Great Western or Fistral Beach. The price includes all equipment (surfboard and wetsuit) and all the children are able to use our secure changing rooms and showers for before and after the lesson.
This lesson is aimed at 8-13 year olds and all children need to be able to swim. Our lesson times vary depending on the tide (from 9am to 3pm) so once you have booked we will contact you to confirm the start time. If you'd like to check times for a particular date, then please just contact us

We have some great unisex easy to ride and manage e-bikes from Rad Power Bikes. The bikes are compact and designed for easy street and coast path riding - these bikes are friendly and practically do the work for you.

We'll give you a briefing on how the e-bike works and demonstrate the various controls. You'll get a chance to have a quick go outside the shop to make sure you are happy with the bike before your hire time starts.

OVERVIEWThis tour is a guided walk around Newlyns historic port and town, led by archaeologist Jeanette Ratcliffe, who is part of the local community.
Situated in the northwest corner of Mounts Bay, protected from the prevailing westerly winds, Newlyn originated as a seasonal fishing settlement. After surviving a Spanish raid of 1595, its fortunes rose dramatically, as a centre for the Cornish pilchard fishery. Boosted by the 19th century arrival of the railway, Newlyn grew into the largest fishing port in Cornwall, with its economy still today heavily based on fish.
Newlyn is also famous for its late 19th early 20th century Newlyn School of Artists painters working in the plein air style attracted to the towns spectacular natural setting and the picturesque quality of its people and streetscapes. Once weve all meet each other, its time to grab a wetsuit and surfboard for the first of the weekends surf lessons. Whether you are experienced or its your first time, our surf coaches are on hand to offer advice and guide you throughout your surfing lesson.

Once your group is kitted out youll take a short walk over to our coasteering location, commonly known as the Gazzle.

WHAT IS COASTEERING?
Coasteering is a fantastic and dynamic activity which can comprise of several elements such as wild swimming, low-level traversing, and everyones favourite, deep water cliff jumps.
Not to mention scrambling up gullies, swimming through sluices, getting washed around in whirlpools, exploring large caves or learning about the local fauna & flora.
Coasteering is an activity governed by the tide, sea state on the day and of course group ability. We set our session times to reflect the best tide conditions of the day. The wild camp is a lovingly crafted space in our own private woodlands set on a working dairy farm in the heart of Cornwall. After a quick introduction to the camp, youll want to settle into your shared Bell tent (air bed & pillow provided) before the evening activities begin. With axe throwing, balance games and firefighting skills theres plenty going on throughout the evening to keep you entertained.
