(B&B) The Moorings

This charming property was built in the 1920’s when trams used to operate up and down the seafront. Now the local bus can pick you up or drop off near the front of the business and take you into the centre of Southend where you can visit the shops, restaurants and bars. Southend on Sea is a resort town on the Thames Estuary in Essex. The longest pleasure pier in the World is serviced by a small train and is just over a mile from the B&B. Nearby is Adventure Island which is a fun park with more than 40 rides and attractions from roller coaster to ghost trains. There are many award winning beaches to visit and bikes can be hired in the town centre if you would like to enjoy the seafront bike routes.
