During the course of the day we will drive through the beguiling, sublimely beautiful and largest county in England, Yorkshire. In fact many simply call it Gods County. We will see the extraordinary variety of landscape from the very flat and rural Vale of Yorkshire to the steep, craggy and effortlessly beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. Along the way we will get out and explore different locations so you can really embrace and experience what a wonderful place this is and never just spend too much time in the vehicle. Nice surprises and sheep sightings are always included! If your trip to the UK includes visits to to the world class cities of London and Edinburgh then you must include Yorkshire as the perfect counter point to demonstrate what extraordinary variety this wonderful country can offer.

After leaving York we will arrive in the Yorkshire Dales a little time later this is where the majority of All Creatures Great and Small is filmed and we will immediately start to see some of the locations which have now been made so famous by the All Creatures Great and Small Show.

3: Grassington

We will typically arrive arrive in Grassington around lunchtime if originating the tour in York. Grassington is one of the most important filming locations of the show and it's possible to have lunch in this charming little town. Should you wish we will also lead a walking tour in the town to show you all of the key places related to filming All creatures. If you are already staying in Grassington we structure the tour a little differently to give you maximum value from the day.

Our first stop is at the Bingley Five Rise Locks where you will see the highest Staircase Lock in the UK, a spectacular feat of engineering constructed in 1774 as part of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. 2: Haworth

We leave Bingley for the short journey to our main stop at Haworth, on the edge of the rugged Pennine Moors, where the Bronte family lived from 1820 and the sisters wrote their famous novels, for a two-hour stopover lunchtime. You can visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum and the Bronte Memorial Chapel in the nearby Church where their father preached, or just explore the quaint shops on the cobbled main street and have a leisurely lunch in one of the traditional cafes the choice is yours!

Welcome to Haworth, at the heart of Brontë country.

Your visit today includes entrance to the Brontë Parsonage Museum, the former home of Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë. It was inside this modest stone house that Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall were written. The Parsonage stands at the top of the village beside the church and on the edge of the open moorland, a setting that deeply influenced the sisters writing.

You now have two hours of free time to explore Haworth at your own pace. The village itself is full of character, with its steep cobbled Main Street lined with traditional stone buildings, independent shops, bookshops, and welcoming cafés. Much of Haworth has retained its historic charm, and as you walk through the streets you can still sense the atmosphere of the 19th century.

Learn how we make chocolate at York Cocoa Works with our Chocolate Manufactory Tasting Journey. During your time with us, one of our expert chocolate makers will share the secrets of our cocoa and how we transform it into chocolate.

You will discover our origins and learn the rich history of chocolate making in York before taking a peek into our manufactory and watching our chocolate being made. This session concludes with a special tasting conducted by our cocoa connoisseur. Discover the basics of chocolate making, from working with chocolate to make simple, gorgeous ganache to how to professionally temper chocolate so you can work with it to create a whole gorgeous array of delights. Participants will take home approximately 300g of their own chocolate creations together with lots of hints and tips to be able to make chocolates easily at home.

This is our initial workshop for working with chocolate, it's a perfect starter for any budding chocolatier or cake maker that wants to understand more about how chocolate works.

During the workshop you will:
